Hi guys, in preparation for the release of FH5 i thought it to be a good idea to create my son his own xbox account, so he will be able to unlock cars and stuff for when he gets his series x, once they are back in stock. Up until now we have shared my account.
I have created his xbox live account now, but we ran into an issue. He startet playing FH4, finished the introduction race and chose his car, but after the cut scene the game is crashing.
The crash is not related to my PC, since we can play on my account without issue.
Any ideas why the game is not working on the second account? Is there something else i have to do for him to be able to play on his account?
I had a similar problem last year when I created a second account. For me it was always crashing to the desktop when I exited the garage, see posts 2731 and 2734 here:
If it is crashing at an earlier stage for you though, what solved it for me may not be an option for you unfortunately.
I just thought I’d post anyway to let you know you’re not the only one with a problem like that. It seems to be one of the long-standing bugs which they never fixed.
Thanks for the response, well, it is crashing while leaving the garage, but right after picking the starter car. I am not able to drive before it is crashing, so i cant change the spawn point.
At least its seems to be an FH4 problem then, not a general problem with playing on the second account. I hope this will not happen with FH5.
Hi, thanks for the reply, i didnt make an account for him, i just signed out of my xbox account and into his on my windows account, but i am admin, so it should work.
I wrote to support as well, but they dont seem to understand the problem. They keep telling me to reset the game.
I have done that 3 times now.
I have tested his account on FM7 and it is working there.
I guess i will just leave it as is, as long as his account works for FH5 i dont care all that much. I doubt that he will be going back to FH4 much.
This is what I do too, and it is enough. No need to log out of your actual Windows account and make any separate admin account, so long as your Windows account is admin to begin with.
after i did that everything was working. Not sure if that was the only thing i did that got it working, i just thought i will post this here in case someone else runs into the same issue.
Right, you needed to create him his own Windows account, that’s how it works with title-sharing. When he gets his xbox someday he’ll need his own xbox account and it should match the windows account you made for him on the PC, that keeps everything aligned.
So you have your Xbox account and your windows account, and he will have his.
