The fastest ICE car up the famous hill, the 208 T16 makes use of the rear wing of the La Mans/winning Peugeot 908 and the PSA V6 from a Courage LMP car. After withdrawing from WEC, Peugeot decided to revisit its rich rallying heritage, which include wins on the mountain in 1988 and 1989. Sebastien Loeb, the most successful rally driver ever, was chosen as the driver, and the 208 T16 duly smashed the record by almost 2 minutes. The record since been overhauled by the Volkswagen ID.R, but only by around 15 seconds. Like the ID.R, the 208 also took victory in the Goodwood Hill Climb. Probably the fastest Peugeot ever, the 208 T16 was bound by no regulations, which possibly makes it also the best Peugeot ever.
