Performance Ratings [TS040 etc - see post #7]

Aha, so you’re the guy who insists that a different quarter panel makes it an entirely different model that needs to be in the game!

I don’t think the problem is with the PI ratings but with the performance some of the cars. Like the GTE/3 cars being slower than the Hypercars, or the WTCC Civic, STCC Volvo and GT500 Nissan being slower than they should be, or both Mazda P cars being faster than they should be.

Does anyone know if Forza / Turn 10 is going to correct the PI on the TS040? Because my game says the Rebellion R One is better, which I find odd?

Apart from that I love the car so much, it’s perfect, I’ve had no issues against others in other cars, because that’s the beauty of LMP1. But when the R One isn’t a hybrid or works car the stats don’t add up.

I don’t think the PI will be adjusted, but who knows what this bug fix will do to the car other than to fix its fuel consumption.

Well I hope they improve the speed & braking PI because I just find it odd that the R One is better, just doesn’t add up. Didn’t even know about the Fuel comsuption bug!

I wish that more of the Prototypes that are languishing in the low 990s could get a small buff. Even with the superior downforce, the Toyota and Rebellion have really skinny tyres compared to other cars. Maybe if they could add more tyres that’d make them a hell of a lot more competitive!

The fuel bug is not limited to this car, someone needs to relay that to them. ALL the cars are short on fuel, the Toyota’s is just worse than all other Prototypes bar the Nissan, which is horrible anyway.

Not keen on the GT-R LM, just doesn’t excite me. But that said the modern P1’s need a BoP adjustment on this game, Toyota especially

Spot on. I don’t understand why the Group C cars have been the leaderboard cars for 3 games straight. Some GT1 cars can beat those Group C cars nowadays… Modern LMP1 cars are faster on Le Mans WITH chicanes than Group C cars were on Le Mans WITHOUT chicanes, so it really makes no sense how the 787B is the best handling P class car… Also, the fuel mileage issue extends to EVERY LMP car, not just the TS040. The most fuel efficient P class car I found was the upgraded Skyactiv Mazda, and even that can’t run more than 25 minutes on a full tank… The R18 only gets about 15-16 minutes before running dry! I really hope this gets addressed for every prototype in the game, not just the TS040.

Yes, TS040 unplayable at the moment with the fuel mileage, just ran 5 lap race at Le Mans had to pit in on lap 3 after just working my way past the Peugeot 908, can’t see using it in any future races until this is fixed.

I’m still slightly confused as to why the TS040 is 990 but the other 2 are 997? If anything surely the TS040 should be 997? 1000bhp, yet it’s slower & apparently according to the specs doesn’t handle as good the R One, what’s the all about?

Curious if anything, and the fuel has improved slightly by a lap or so (did the TORA 12 hours last night)

I don’t know if players have noticed this. But the Porsche 918 Spyder underperforms in the game. The LaFerrari and P1 can beat it easily in most tracks. What’s worse is even the Veneno and the Lykan can smoke the 918 Spyder. I think PI should be adjusted. Speed should be up from 7.9 to 8.1, Handling from 6.2 to 6.4, Acceleration from 9.4 to 10.0, and Braking from 6.3 to 6.4. How can it be part of the holy trinity of hypercars if it can’t perform on the same level.

Acceleration of 10.0? No don’t think that would quite be right. To be fair if you build all 3 of the holy trinity to the top of r class they are fairly evenly matched. As in real life different tracks will suit different cars. And it could be argued that none of them are as quick or as grippy as we would like but if their stats were too much higher they would be in P class and therefore totally useless.

@TRG wacky gt If you watch the 918 spyder vs veyron super sport in real life videos, you’ll see that it smokes the veyron up to 100 mph and the veyron has a 9.8 acceleration in the game. I’m comparing the holy trinity in their stock forms, no tunes. And the 918 can’t keep up with the P1 and LaFerrari. It also struggles against the much lower PI Veneno and Lykan.

The Porsche 911 GT1 that came as part of the expansion pack is one car that makes zero sense to me in terms of PI and performance. Let’s just take a look at some facts and figures…

It was clocked at 205 MPH at the Le Mans test day in 1998, however even with minimum downforce it can’t manage anywhere near that in FM6, struggling to even get 185 MPH down to the first chicane on the Mulsanne. It’s top speed in normal downforce configuration in reality was tested at 193, yet in Forza on those levels it can’t get to 180 MPH.

It set a pole time of 1:13.7 at Petit Le Mans in 1998, while in FM6 on Road Atlanta, which is the same configuration run that year, I can’t get the car under 1:19, and I doubt even the fastest leaderboard drivers could get it down below 1:15 in stock trim.

The fact that it’s this slow in game and has it’s PI matched by the Aston DBR9 makes no sense, as the DBR9 set a qualifying time of 1:18 at Road Atlanta in 2006, over FOUR seconds slower than the time 911 GT1 did eight years prior.

The real 911 GT1 was faster than even a current day LMP2 car, yet it’s being treated as no better than a post-2000 GT1 car in Forza 6. A sad representation of a car that deserves better.

The argument of “tuners would have nothing to do” or “it’s for balance with other GT cars” seems pointless to me. That’s not what should matter, what should matter is that the car should be represented as accurately as possible in the game in comparison to the real thing.

The TS040 that dominated the 2014 WEC season being slower than the same year’s R18, a Super GT car that can lap faster than a privateer P1 car at Fuji being consider no faster than a ten year old GT1 car, and what I just detailed about the 911 GT1, just a few of the examples of what is clearly Turn 10 preferring to balance cars to compete with others in a certain class instead of accurately representing their real life performance in Forza.

Exellent post I couldn’t done better. Background is that turn rated the GT1 cars in Forza 1 as one group. Doubtful decision but as you had this other gt1 cars like bmw mclaren f1 gtr and mercedes clk gtr it was not so hard to accept.
But since they throe all 90’ s GT1 out of the game. The greatest joke ever is that the riley daytona prototype gets a pi of 922 and can upgraded to lmp level…hahaha. a car that have a chassis made out of steel and be 20 years behind. Only bop brings the car to a lmp2 level. It’s so clear that money is behind some rating decision.
I really gave it up. If you want see how such cars perform take a ride in mercedes clk gtr lm in project cars. Maybe whe should write directly to porsche and ask them if they know how some cars been of them been down rated in in a game that call simulation. A joke…because it would bring nothing.

Can you please back up your claim by comparing the game’s car to real-life performance stats? For example, 0-60 and 0-100 mph times and top speed? Are they the same?

Now I’m curious too.

check youtube and there’s a comparison real life test of the 918 vs laferrari and p1 and veyron ss. it shows the 918 to be the fastest at 150 mph. here in forza 6 it loses to these three cars in a quarter mile drag. and it’s also impossible to replicate it’s real life nurburg time of 6:57 in the game. it’s pi needs to be fixed.

Real-life tests have shown that the LaFerrari performs worse than the P1 in terms of all aspects, whether that be acceleration (0-60, 0-186, 1/4 mile, etc.), top speed, or handling (the LaFerrari is actually heavier than a Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 and only 265 lbs lighter than a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS Auto, with a curb weight of 3,495 lbs versus the Camaro’s 3,760). With that, the FXX K should in fact be ranked lower than the P1 GTR!
The FXX K should REALLY, REALLY, REALLY be ranked MUCH lower than the P1 GTR for the same reasons that the LaFerrari should in fact be ranked MUCH lower than the P1 and 918. Additionally, the LaFerrari (1:14.2) was slower than the Pagani Huayra (1:13.8) and McLaren 675LT (1:13.7) on the Top Gear test track.
Yet, Forza goes too overboard by giving the LaFerrari better acceleration, braking, and handling than the otherwise lighter P1. This has gone too far, with the FXX K gaining faster lap times than the P1 GTR?! I am so extremely enraged at this! Real life tests would see the P1 GTR as the better car!

Suggested new PI for LaFerrari:
Acceleration: 9.0 (0-60 in 3.150 sec, 0-100 in 5.400 sec)
Speed: 8.2
Handling: 5.9
Braking: 6.0

Suggested new PI for FXX K:
Acceleration: 9.5 (0-60 in 2.750 sec, 0-100 in 4.900 sec)
Speed: 8.3
Handling: 6.9
Braking: 6.9

Suggested new PI for McLaren P1:
Acceleration: 9.7 (0-60 in 2.600 sec)
Speed: 9.3
Handling: 6.7
Braking: 6.8

Suggested new PI for P1 GTR:
Acceleration: 10.0 (0-60 in 2.200 sec, 0-100 in 4.250 sec)
Speed: 9.4
Handling: 7.6
Braking: 7.6

So, Turn 10. Please. Just nerf the LaFerrari and FXX K to be below the P1 and P1 GTR, respectively, if you still want to be realistic. DRIVECLUB has also shown the P1 GTR to be better than the FXX K, so please follow in their example. Otherwise, I can go back to Gameloft, who also shows the P1 GTR to handle the way it was supposed to. Thanks.

LaFerrari is better than Aventador. There’s no issue about it. It’s heavier than LaFerrari. But I don’t understand where they got LaFerrari’s super light weight in the game (3031 lbs.) Here are facts:

Aventador - 1,575 kg (3,472 lb) (dry)
1,731 kg (3,816 lb) (w/ fluids, Eur)
1,852 kg (4,083 lb) (w/ fluids, US)
1,769 kg (3,900 lb) LP 750-4 SV (w/fluids, US)

LaFerrari - 1,585 kg (3,495 lb)

P1 - 1,547 kg (3,411 lb)

So with this in real life, I believe the P1 should have better handling and braking in the game. The Porsche 918 Spyder should also improve in this game. It should be the quarter mile king in drag races among the trinity.
