Patate Hot Lap Series - #9 First Annual Holiday Extravaganza 2024

You might want to try stiffening things up for more stability over the curbs. Mainly bump around 4.5-5.5 and raise the ride height a bit and I found running a higher anti-dive, something between 30 and 75. Helps add some stiffness, stability to the front end and stop bottoming out on those kerbs.

Thanks. :+1: I’ll give that a shot.

Fun fact, two equal times break things.

Edit: Betrayed by spreadsheet formulas. All fixed now. In case of equality, the first submitted time appears first, but everybody gets the same rank.

Edit of the edit: Turns out that was the symptom of a much more devious bug. Anyways, actually fixed now.

Must have run 40 odd laps in the Toyota 2000gt trying various tunes and builds, best was 1:03.856.

Okay, another flash poll. I originally set the end date of the first event to Tuesday 5th, but seeing that everybody (myself included) seems to prefer a Thursday-to-Thursday schedule, I propose to move the deadline forward. That’ll mean the first event would have run for one week, and the second event will start this week.
The alternative is to keep the deadline, and run the second event also a little longer to align on a Thursday-to-Thursday schedule.

  • Objection, keep it Tuesday 5th
  • No objection, end it Thursday 31st

Also, quick note, I’ll keep the original deadline for any late comer, but I’ll also be starting the next event tomorrow. So there’ll be a few days of overlap just this once.

Cool - I’ll try and run some more laps on this one at the weekend.

Attention racers,

PHLC#1 will continue until its original deadline. You can still submit times with the tag PHLC#1 until 2024-11-05T10:00:00Z, final results will be posted some time after that.

Meanwhile, PHLC#2 officially begins now. The chosen theme is GT1 Homologation. The track is the Full Reverse layout of the brand new Sunset Peninsula circuit. Details are provided in the header post at the top of the thread, along with a poll for the next track.

Good luck, have fun!

I guess since this is a new track, this leaderboard doesn’t have many entries yet, so it’s relatively easier to get near the top of it (for now).

I’m not thrilled with how my tune feels yet, so I’m still trying to do better.
It’s the stock engine with medium ballast, and it’s a handful on controller/gamepad without traction control.
