Options in Free Play mode

Please can some lucky bugger with early access tell me what is in the Free Play race options menu?

I really want to know if you can customise the race like a multiplayer lobby, specifically can you pick the cars the AI drive (like the exact model), can the AI use your garage cars, and if not can you at least narrow it down like body shape / series, year from and to, PI, power output or suchlike?

In South Africa we wait till the 18th to play and it’s killing me!

Also can someone find out if in Split Screen can player two use your garage?

You could search and find the plethora of comments, criticisms, and complaints about free play and you’d have an answer.

As for two player split screen, let me jump into it and give it a try then I’ll edit this with results.

EDIT: No when split screening, player 2 can only use Rented Cars if they do not have their own garage. I tried it with an account that has only played FH2 and they cannot use my garage, they cannot upgrade or tune cars either - it’s rental only. That kinda sucks big time. I have friends come over and we free play a lot but they don’t have accounts (or FM6) so that’s a huge bummer.

Free play is still limited. You can replay some of the career series but unfortunately you cannot have the same options as a private multiplayer lobby. I was hoping they would have included some of these options so you can set up a race exactly how you like. But it’s very similar to previous versions with the added option to replay the career series but you can skip the tracks you don’t like but it will not cycle all the tracks only the ones in that series. Hope this helps. Hoping this is fixed in the future but I doubt it. Maybe Forza 7.
It’s still a great game tho.

Sadly the options are limited in Free Play. You have more options when creating a private multiplayer lobby, except the number of cars you can have on track is dependent on the number of humans in the race. Each human driver brings with them up to 5 AI drivers. So to get a field of 24 cars you need 4 human players.

The one thing I like about Free Play is now it behaves like Rock Band’s “endless set list”. You can choose a theme for the type of tracks (like all night, all wet, all American, all European, ect) based on themes from the career mode’s play lists. Choose your car, and start the race. At the end of the race you can choose to restart that race, press A to move to the next track shown, or press X to skip that track for another. You can go from race to race, track to track, without loading the menu again.

If you choose a car that maxes out its class the game will give the AI cars that are high in that class, or low in the next. So if you choose a S-800 car, the grid will be made up of cars ranging from S-785 through R-816.

Yes Online Private Lobby has more options and features but it’s online only. You cannot play offline.

Free Play should be called “Semi-Free Play” or better yer, simply “Play” or “Offline Mode”.

Private online Lobby is buggy. You get only 6 drivators even you choose 23. You can’t select specific car to each drivators. Without that option everything is useless because you just race against total different car concept. Racecars vs. Supercars, btcc cars vs. Gt3 cars. It’s like a nightmare and hope that I wake up soon
The game is great.but without that feature that you can create your own fields the game loses a lot of atmosphere. Sad but true

Also, why can’t we choose the color of rented cars?
