OpenSourceForza - free, full builds and setups for everyone UPDATED Top 10 Exige 13/02/18

Hey all!

I’ve recently been putting together a simple forum website displaying my builds and tunes in an easy to understand format. This came about as a way of keeping track of my own tunes, a bit of fun and as a possible way of helping people out who are new to tuning and want to have a crack at it without having to spend all their credits.

My tunes generally follow the same pattern of building with as many adjustable parts as possible, then using my own calculator and experience to come up with a “base tune” to work from.

If you are looking for the fastest tunes for any given track then perhaps the Storefronts of the leaderboard toppers are the place for you, but if you are interested in tuning yourself and maybe want to learn a little more on how to, and what to use then you may be in luck with OpenSourceForza. I have had some positive feedback from some members the 2old4forza club forum and feel that I’m heading in the right direction.

That being said not every tune is going to appeal to everyone so it’s worth just giving them a go and see how you find it. There are also plenty of very skilled tuners on the FM forums offering free tunes so if something isn’t on OSF yet, then maybe they have something for you.

The site is still in it’s early days and two recent endurance races have limited the time I have wanted to put in getting tunes out and published. With those races now out of the way I’ll be pushing on and getting tunes out as often as possible, so it’s worth checking regularly to see if there’s anything new that takes your fancy.

All tunes are displayed with the basic car info (name, power, weight etc), full parts list, and base tune settings.

Everything on the site is available to everyone to do with whatever you want. You can even share them if you want but please credit OSF if you do as a lot of time and effort does go into getting the tunes out.

There is no need to sign up to the site unless you want to leave feedback, which is always welcomed.

On OSF currently there are tunes for Exotic GT, Vintage Sport Compact and a few others. More will be shared almost daily and I’ll be trying to keep up with upcoming future leagues and hoppers.

Thanks for the heads up, should be ok now.

Now added 5 tunes for Elite Factory Racers division. I would have added more if had actually had the cars in my garage, but hopefully these will do until I can afford the rest.

Mercedes CLK-GTR, Porsche 911 Strassenversion, Nissan R390, Ferrari F50 GT and F40 Competizione.

Been working on some Track Toys cars today. All been tested at Brands Hatch full with times between 1:29.5 - 1:31

Lotus 3-Eleven, BAC Mono, KTM X-Bow, Caterham Superlight, Donkervoort and Ariel Atom

The Donkervoort has come out the fastest of this little group, The KTM is possibly the most stable and the Caterham is the most mental.

Tunes can be found here: Track Toys

A new month and a Honda Civic for all classes, well E to S class anyway.

All 6 Civics were tested on the Nordschleife and lean towards speed builds. As always these are base tunes that work fairly well as they are.

#5 Zengo Civic - http://http://opensourceforza.forumotion.com/t68-2014-5-zengo-motorsport-honda-civic-wtcc#73

The first 3 Civic in the list are no aero builds, The other 3 are loaded with power and low aero. All of them retain FWD.

Have a look, have a play about with them, leave feedback if you want to, and most importantly enjoy!

3 Hypercar Pagani monsters tuned at Monza and uploaded to OSF here: http://http://opensourceforza.forumotion.com/t74-2012-pagani-huayra-2010-zonda-r-2009-zonda-cinque-roadster#79

The Zonda Cinque Roadster is more of a grip type tune, The Zonda R is all about top speed and the Huayra is somewhere in the middle

Have a look, have a play, leave feedback and most importantly, enjoy!

I’ve been having to deal with real life rubbish over the last week or so, and as such haven’t been able to get out as many tunes as I’d have liked to.

So today I’ve got a Lotus Exige build and tune for you all to try out and hopefully set some decent times on the division leaderboards.

The car was built for a Track Toys series over on 2old4forza.com and tested originally at Road Atlanta Club, setting a time well into the Top 10. Since them I’ve run it in a few races in the current Ghost Track Toys hoppers with great success and many more Top 10s.

The full build and tune can be found at the link below, and can also be found on the Storefront by searching for MysticV 247

Let me know how you get on as I’d love to get some feedback

It seems there are a few people crying out for some B class tunes, so I’ve built 3 very different cars to fill the gap. All have been tested at COTA West.

2004 Civic is intended to be an all rounder of sorts. Sport tyres, 300+ hp FWD and low aero

2007 Shelby GT500 is a bit of a brute weighing in at over 3500lbs with 500hp, probably best saved for those tracks with the long straights.

And finally the 1969 Ferrari Dino using Race tyres, just over 2000lbs and just under 300hp showing it’s worth on the handling section with just a little bit of ass hanging out for maximum fun.

Your links don’t seem to work.

lol, yeah I seem to keep getting issues with them, I’ve redone them and they should work for you now.
