Agreed. I have to admit I was disappointed when all of a sudden the next barn find was spoiled in the middle of the forzathon/carpack thread just like that without any warning. Oooh look at me and what I found!..me me me! …sigh! Although T10 gave a pretty big clue it really makes the barn find kind of pointless when people just can’t seem to control themselves and not warn properly before they post.

Serious question, how do we stop the game from spoiling the new Barn Find? The upcoming one for the Forzathon got spoiled only minutes after I started playing the game when I passed an AMC Pacer X driven by a drivatar.
Also, I totally otherwise agree that the Barn Finds should not get shouted out in the titles of threads, and posters should instead use the classic " ".
Out man out maybe, but for me its all about finding the barn and not so much the surprise of what is waiting inside.
Then again, finding all the reward boards are more important to me than the actual reward associated with the board.
Did I mention that I really miss the scavenger hunts we had in Horizon 1?
Noticed this one in another thread. Just because it’s in the Horizon Promo menu, doesn’t mean it needs to be spoiled. Those who don’t wish to spoil it for themselves don’t go looking for it do they? Don’t be so inconsiderate next time.

Everyone can spoil “hidden” cars, the issue isn’t people, its the way promo and the IA works with the updates.
Every added car can be seen I promo and also used by the drivatars. Just saw a 918 driving around.
A patch on the game that hides unknown cars would solve this, sure PC users might be able to get the info but at least not in game.
Forza is not what it was in the FH1 time, if people don’t spoil it the game will.
Some people don’t go looking in the Horizon Promo menu to find out what’s new though. Unfortunately for them, 9 times out of ten they get it spoiled on this forum before they even get the chance to load up the game.
Finding out the barn find for an update is a process of looking through Horizon Promo to see what cars are new and then use process of elimination by looking up what cars are part of the car pack or expansion and then going through the upcoming Forzathon challenges to see what cars are rewards. The leftover car will be the barn find. The problem with that is most people will read or see something that will spoil the barn find somewhere such as these forums, activity feed, Reddit, or YouTube. The thread I’ve created for the April barn find is marked withSpoiler Alert in the title and the title is vague to give a place to discuss that car here, but it won’t prevent anyone from mentioning the barn find in a post and there is no way to require people to mouse over the spoiler to read it. In a thread where I’ve named off each of the 12 cars for yesterday’s update in a post that mentioned the barn find at the end of it, I’ve given warning, added some extra blank space, and highlighted the spoiler in an attempt to allow people to ignore the highlighted car given what the forums support while the next post contained the same spoiler with no warning and formatting to make it stand out against the rest of the post.
I could’ve handled the Porsche car list post better, but the thread is there to discuss the barn find car, the method of how the rumor is triggered, and the car in real life and it contains 2 in-game images of the car being driven by a drivatar.
The info is even being placed in the Content update threads these days complete with pics etc and comments to them possibly being barn finds so unless that changes as well then I can’t see how you will avoid it…
The thing is, users come here asking “I saw [car name] in traffic / in the Auction House / in the Photo Gallery and it’s not in the Auction House, how do I get it?” which I think is a legitimate question to ask on the game’s official forums. If you have formatting/wording suggestions, I’m open to hearing them.

Well I think this is why the issue is mostly in-game, if there are no signs there, no questions will be asked.
I’m happy with the way it is… even more so now the glitched barn find and drivatar hiring is fixed and I’m at 100% and only 89 points of tier 9…
I was pointing out the other ways that the info is now being “officially released”…
