Does anyone know if we will be able to add lifted suspensions to vehicles for offroad/hillclimb racing. I think its kinda silly that the only suspension choices are 3 lowering options, especially on trucks and SUV’s
Horizon 2 will have tuning, so you can set up the racing suspension for off-roading, but I don’t know if they’ll have a “rally” option (like they added to Horizon with the rally expansion.)
That would be good for people who don’t want to take the time to make their own setup.
Just use a Ramrunner or rally fighter. No need for suspension upgrades!
What if I don’t want a truck/SUV?
That’s like saying “just eat a hotdog. No need for ham!” when someone asks for a ham sandwich.
They’re both made from pork and bread, but you can’t substitute a hotdog for a ham sandwich.

Fair enough, I just figured with a wide variety of vehicles I’d use each for what it’s for.
If you put in the work to make an offroad Civic it’ll do ok, but put the same amount of work into a machine that’s ALREADY good offroad and it’ll be epic.
You have a valid point, my friend. I hope that the ride height adjustment is visible, or there is an adjustable off-road/rally suspension. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I know right, having upgrade parts that are useful for racing in a racing game, how absurd. Do you know there are only 3 lowering options? If you have proof of this, I for one would love to see it. Your premise is based on the fact that Forza 5 has only 3 lowering options, and well, Forza 5 is specifically a track based racing game. If you go back on game further and take a look at Forza Horizon 1, it had 3 lowering options and 1 rally option. The game in question does use the Forza 5 engine and platform, but it is a sequel to Horizon and no, you don’t know that there are only 3 lowering options.
On a side note, IMO, lifting trucks is kind of silly. For most of the modern trucks that are in the game, Ford Raptor comes to mind from FM5, you don’t need to lift the truck. In fact, it already has a suspension ready for rally if you tick that option box. If you don’t it’s not a suspension lift that the car needs, it’s simply a better rally suspension.
Forza Horizon 1 had the rally expansion that did offer some rally specific upgrades, but those were only available once the expansion was released. Pre rally expansion there was no such thing.
That being said, it was in FH1 so there is a good possibility that it can be in FH2, but if FM5 is any indication, we haven’t heard for sure, so we cannot know for sure. Best chance, we learn something on the 16th.
if they’re using something similiar to forza 5 for the tuning then you should be able to lift any car. the suspension settings in that arent just for lowering if you try some tuning

I can’t remember who, but someone said the Rally pack won’t be coming to FH2. While there probably won’t be specific rally courses, I think that might be because those options could be included from the start. They’re very aware that off-road is going to be a popular driving option.
Time will tell.
Race suspension can lift the vehicle higher than stock, try it out in Forza 5. I think the visuals are slightly skewed, but the numbers suggest otherwise. I tested it out and you can raise the car higher than stock.
