Everyone’s style is different when it comes to captures, so this is more of an opinion. I can only suggest for the first pic, is that you try not to leave too much of an empty space when your focus was intended for your character and the vehicle in the background. Basically your main focus of the lens in this pic is towards the ground. Try to zoom in from the side abit with a slight angle and add aperture of 13 or higher for the background. The idea is pretty good though.
