"No Substitute" achievement not unlocking

Hey there,

A few weeks ago I checked out my achievement list for FM7 and decided to tackle the “No Substitute” achievement… complete a race with every car from Porsche.

I went through my garage and checked out which Porsches I hadn’t yet raced in-game, and proceeded to complete at least one race with each. After winning at least one race with each Porsche (including standard and DLC cars), the achievement didn’t unlock. I let it go and kept playing the game. I have completed several dozen races with Porsches since then… but the progress bar for this achievement is still stuck at 96%.

I checked online and couldn’t find any fixes. As mentioned above, several weeks have passed and I’m wondering if there’s anything I can do to trigger it to pop.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds like you have missed one
There are a couple that are almost identical just different racing numbers in their title
And you can rent the ones you don’t have as well

I made a list of them all and crossed them off as i completed each race
There’s a list at trueachievements with all the required ones…you dont need the dlc ones

I think the locked 2016 gt3 is one that counts. As talby says, if you don’t own it, rent it.

I did this using all rentals selecting one car at a time in Drag mode all you do is select a quarter mile drag race pick the first one in the rental list do the drag race and then select restart and change your car to next one in the list wash and repeat till the achievement pops

Rental + 1/4 Mile Drag with 1 opponent is the fastest way to unlock this. Should take less than an hour to do them all.

If it helps, print off this list and mark them off as you finish each race.

Does it look like Im missing anything? There are a couple of Porsches coming next week, I know, but this achievement has been unlocking since last October or so. Its obviously glitched on my end. I know the unlock criteria, just wondering if there`s something I can do to trigger the unlock… or get tech support to look into this, obviously.

Note: I can confirm that I am the original owner of all these cars… all races and victories were completed by me, I didn’t buy any of these from auction and miscount someone else’s races.

I will say again Rentals in Free Play Now forget what is in your Garage check the car collection and see if any of the Porsches are locked still I know for a FACT I had to use several rentals to get this achievement Actually if you look in the Rental Sections you will see by the house Icon if you own that car and actually have it in your garage, And this Achievement is designed to be done with cars in the BASE Game not any Add on cars or Car pack cars. One more time Check the Rental cars out odd are your answer is in there.

Try comparing it to the list at trueachievements

You do not need to use dlc cars either

Maybe try redoing them and 1 might trigger it

My list is literally every Porsche in Forza Motorsport 7, not including any that haven’t been released yet.

I’ve been racing Porsches occasionally over the past few weeks since I met all the criteria for this achievement. Nothing has made it pop yet.

The next step is to go through the entire list again. Not sure if this is going to make any difference though, that’s why I posted in here.

I noticed you’re on 96% complete for this achievement. I’m sure I just did drag races to speed this one up for myself.

First off… thanks for the great feeback, everyone.

Based on what’s been posted so far, I created a free play session tonight, set car class to “ANY” and then went to the rental section of “Car Select.”

Scrolled over to Porsche and checked to see if there were any that I didn’t own. There were none, I own all Porsches and have minimum one race complete and one win each.

So… we’re back to my original post. The achievement is glitched, for me at least. Is there a fix for it or what? I could definitely go through each car again and complete a race, but at this point I’m not sure if that would unlock this achievement for me. Any advice on what to do next?

Email ForzaFb@Microsoft.com for direct assistance Emails are taking 3 to 4 days for a respose

Try redoing them using the list that PJ posted
1 may have glitched the first time you used it

Also, you may have driven a Porsche in a Timed Race, tag event or something else, which the Achievement may not consider a “race”.

Something else i was thinking that if you use friction assist or any of the super easy assists the race might not count either

Pretty sure all races/wins were in circuit races. I don’t use any “super-easy” assists.

I’ll email the ForzaFB help desk… I’ll wait for an official response before I try racing all the Porsches all over again.

I’m not really excited about the prospect of working through that list of cars again and not having the achievement pop when it’s all done. I’d rather just wait on it for now… I’m sure tech support can resolve this for me before Forza Horizon 4 comes out.

If you set up a 1/4 mile drag event in free play and switched cars each time you would have it done it about 15 minutes…if that
And that’s if it doesnt pop first
Its only 29 cars…go by PJs list too…you dont need to do dlc or forzathon or gift cars
Would be a lot quicker than waiting for support to be told the same thing

Seriously in the time its taken to respond to this thread you would have had it done already…several times over

So you pointed out most problems but think you missed one Internet drop out now if just 1 race was completed whil you had a internet outage or Connection drop for a couple of minuits it may not regester as done, So even though you have done a race in every Porsche one or more may have been done while you had a service interuption fom as littel as a few seconds to a few minuits.

Yep i know

I was in the same situation
I was stuck at 96% and i was positive i had raced them all
So i printed out that list from trueachievements and after racing about 3-4 of them the cheevo popped

I reckon support have a lot more other issues to sort out too and checking a missing cheevo would not be high priority
