Seriously, go and check every possible leaderboard there is for p-class. Go ahead, I’ll wait.
In the interest of fairness, if the 70’s grand prix cars were unfairly fast around tracks, then why is the Mazda 787B still allowed in p-class? It has more braking, handling, top speed and acceleration than all of the other cars in p-class. My best times are about 10 seconds slower than the Mazda’s whereas in other classes my best will usually get me within 3.5-4 seconds of the top time.
Thought experiment: Why do we have a PI (performance index)?
Is it because we want cars of equal PERFORMANCE to be raced against each other so as to create a fair playing field? Because honestly if not why the heck is it there?!!
Cough Ferraris Cough.
