No autosave in Horizon 3 demo?

Downloaded as soon as i got home.
Played for about 2 hours.
Turned off console.
Turned back on.
Have to start from beginning.
All the racing and exploring id done has gone

Anyone else having this problem?

I’m not sure if this is a trick question, but this is simply a demo. All demos do not allow for game saves, it a product demonstration only.

The BF1 beta did.

A beta is completely different. Some betas just let you play the entire game without any restriction just to test every aspect of it.
A demo is not meant for testing. In that case they would’ve let us test painting, customisation, Groove Music Station, etc., etc. as well just to make sure it’s all working right when the full game releases.

But, seeing as you’re responding to him/her mentioning ALL demos do not save, I agree with you nonetheless. Some simply do, some do not.

I’d personally class the BF1 beta as a demo more than an actual beta.

Let’s not get into that topic here as that’s irrelevant for the discussion.

That is not correct.

Game saves are allowed. What is not allowed is the carryover of progress to the full game.

Thread subject fixed.

Doesn’t save for me either (I believe Horizon 2 was the same way). Sucks, I was driving around having a blast and a friend with terrible internet asked me to check how big the rocket league update was. So I did, and came back to Horizon 3 and had to start over. Is there a reward for playing through the whole demo? If not I think I’ll just hold off til I get the game in a week & a half.

The game saves for me and my friend, so their must be a problem with your internet, consoles, or games.

Go play it again. I’d be willing to bet you have to start over.

Does this mean that all of the roads I discovered, etc. I’ll have to do all over again in the full game? COME ON! I spent like 2hrs doing that crap.

Yes, That’s how it always is in the demo. If you watch gameplay, the beginning of the game is very similar, but not exact. Progress from the demo has never transferred over to the full game in the Forza series.

Although I knew this was the case and I don’t really mind, I have to admit it’s a tad annoying that you can only access online freeroam after having completed all ‘singleplayer’ events.
At least you could access it in FH2’s demo after completing just 1 event.

I had forgotten this happened with FM6 also. So I ended up playing through this one twice, no bad thing, so that the second time I could end up freeroaming with friends. They were pretty generous with the area we got to play in - 126 roads out of 488 in total and at least 46 boards out of 150. I guess the outback has fewer roads! I was surprised at the overall count being quite so low when it is supposed to be 3x the size of FH2 right?

I have the same problem, and I am very angry…

Well at least this makes me no longer wonder, or care, that I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t unlock the next location I chose. I spent like 3 hours last night thinking I wasn’t doing the Online Freeroam correctly.
It’s a pretty big shame we get nothing for completing the demo though. I can name many games I have save data from demos and got bonuses for playing them early.
Oh well! I’ve got plenty more to do on FH2 anyway! Just wish I didn’t put in 6+ hours on FH3 for nothing…

You can’t get to the next area in the demo…Makes sense really, being only a demo and not including everything.

In the words of a very wise man, “there are no continues, my friend”.

Also, so far only FM6 gave you any bonus for playing the demo. There was no reason to expect that playing the demo was going to give us any benefit other than all the fun we’ve had.
