I am new to XBOX/Forza 7. I bought and started playing F7 last week and It’s hard to follow whats going on. Let me explain.
I started this Hot Hatch cup. I noticed that it was almost impossible to lose control of the car and the car seemed to brake on its own. I did great on the 3 first races of the cup and I never had to hit the brakes. Just lift my finger from the gas pedal. I was also a bit disappointed because it didnt feel realistic.
After the 3rd race, I decided to use CR to get a MOD crate. I wasn’t sure what I was doing. After installing the upgrades the car handling became more difficult/realistic. Why did this happen? How can I have control over this?
Also, I wanted to repeat this cup however it was locked. How can I start from the beginning?
I am sure i will get more questions down the road but for now that’s all.
It sounds like your Assists are set to Super Easy or maybe Easy, which would set Braking to Assisted. In this case the computer will brake for you without any input required. You can change it to ABS On or ABS Off. Also set your steering to Normal.
You may have applied a Mod that overrides settings by turning off the easy assists.
If the Hot Hatch cup is your first one you may need to complete another before you can go back and redo the other - follow the game progression as intended and eventually you will be able to go back and improve on your points totals.
You can restart a cup you currently in by starting a different one (it warns you that the progress will be lost in the cup you’re in), after selecting another one you can select the previous one and start it from the beginning.
To add to what the mod said, i’d personally start the game with no assists unless you count manual without clutch and steering on normal. Maybe use the onscreen racing line to learn the tracks but you will do that by following the AI in races anyway. You’ll get a much better feel for the car that way.
