Don’t know if it’s just me or other people also have this problem, but on the PC the New Cayman which came out last season as a bit of a sound bug for me.
The rev up is fine but when you got to change gears there is a bit of a static noise. I’ve tried it with the headphones on, which my Bluetooth speaker and my pc speaker but it’s the same result.
My mate plays on Xbox but he doesn’t seem to have that bug, so at this point my guess is that it’s just a bug on the PC
