New blizzard mountain cars not free? The game asks me to spend credits on them.

So I have the ultimate edition, bought the expansion pass, installed Blizzard mountain and everything is fine except that the new cars that came with blizzard mountain (i.e. focus rs rx, rj anderson truck, wrx bt15r rally, etc.) is not free like all the other dlc cars so far (as in the game asks for me to spend credits on them even though I don’t already own or have the new cars in my garage) and the only blizzard mountain car that was free for me was the Lancia S4 that I chose as my first car when you open the blizzard mountain festival.

At first I thought that new cars we were not free like it is the case with dlc car packs but then I saw posts on here, reddit, youtube, etc. that the new blizzard mountain cars are free for the first time but this is not the case for me.

Also I just watched a few gameplay vids on the Blizzard mountain opening part and noticed one the vids that when choosing your first car in blizzard mountain, it only list three cars, two are new and labelled as free with green icon like all new dlc cars while one was already part of the main game is labelled free with an orange sign with sale sign too like how you got free cars in the main game when you opened a new festival site. My experience as different from the videos I saw I when I had to choose my first car in blizzard mountain, I had like 5/6 cars to choose from and I think all of them were the new cars and all of them had the orange label and the sale sign, so it looks like I had this free car problem right from the beginning of blizzard mountain.

Is this a bug? Has anyone else had this problem?

I struggled to find them myself until I went into my garage and they were there, just needed to download them (did not have to pay). The only car I couldn’t get is the Ken Block’s Ford Focus RS…still trying to figure that one out.

You can find and obtain the Ken Block Focus by going to the DLC Cars option in the menu and selecting it. For some reason it doesn’t show up in the auto show.

The Focus was in the Autoshow for free for me.

The first time you get them they are free. Every time after that you have to pay. Like someone said above, if you are being asked to purchase them for credits, it means you already have them in your garage. Remember you don’t get the garage indicator when looking at dlc cars section. And you can get the RSRX by beating the king maker.

Yes I know that and I have checked my garage very carefully several times, I don’t have the new cars, trust me. My games thinks I already have the blizzard mountain cars for some reason when I don’t. (I still have the cars from the newest dlc car pack, the Logitech G Car Pack, show up as free like normal but the blizzard mountain cars have the problem.)

Also like said, from watching blizzard mountain online, I see that I had this bug right from the beginning of blizzard mountain.

I don’t mind paying the credits for the few news cars of blizzard mountain if this bug can’t be fixed but my concern is if this bug continues with the future dlc cars too.

Just wondering if you have tried hard resetting/ cold booting your console since you installed…not just turning off and on
Usually this will trigger them to be free for the first purchase if they werent already

I collected all my free cars by going to the dlc tab in the autoshow and going into the “all cars” section
Was able to get the ken block ford the same way

Yup, tried hard reset the console like 3 times already, once even unplugging the power cable for a while. Still have the problem. Even uninstalled and then reinstalled Blizzard mountain but still have the problem.

I am going to unistalled the whole game and all the dlc packs too and reinstall everything again and see if that helps, but I get the feeling that it won’t.

Thank god! I would prefer the DLC cars to not be free either.

Eh, I prefer it this way. You get the option to either have them for free, or get them for free, removed from garage, and buy them with credits.

Yeh it’s good to have options
More options the better
