hey folks,
just spent a good 4 hours figuring out how to work the custom graphics ect. Thought i would start with this…
The plan was to have the red graphics much smaller, but i found that i could only cover a quarter of the car before forza told me it couldn’t handle more layers, so had to blow the red graphic up, any solutions for this??
Also feedback is very welcome, more pics to follow.
I cant really see the red portion, but for it to use up the bulk of the 3,000 layers it would have to be pretty accurate. I’m sure there’s another way, its rather amazing what someone can do with 3,000 layers. We used to only have 1,000 layers and people could come up with some great pieces of work so I’m sure this design can be done.
It’s a good effort, though a lot of the main logos need some work

Would be easy to post my version from F5 here, but I wouldn’t wish to be disrespectful in any way.
If you’re doing this, you’ll have to work on the base colour to get a good pop of colour and then work poo loads on the sponsor logos and GB3k logo. It all adds up to the real look.
Since the game came out I’ve been working on these and I’m still not half done, see my post thread… It all takes time. People are messaging me for this since day one but I owe it to the fans and the team.
This is one hell of a paint to start off with, so respect for giving it a go fella.

Yeh I didn’t realise there was someone out there making the replicas! Anyway it was a good challenge, those photos aren’t the best, i’ve got some better lit ones that aren’t in shadow where the colour pops more, but i didn’t realise it was red chrome on the base, does that mean the wrap is matte?
I see what you did with the neat wrap i think in that you use more of the forza vinyls so it doesn’t clog with layers while getting the same effect, is that correct? I was trying to re-create the wrap…
That makes sense, and then spend more layers on getting the sponsors correct.
I’ll leave it to you man, I’ve got some other ideas in the pipeline… But your feedback was good. Doesn’t help that i didn’t even know there was a layer limit ha! makes sense for rendering though.

I started again and did not realise you could apply tints to chrome, very cool. This helped and i re-worked the layers, also spent a bit of time on making the sponsors more legit, but not all are like for like…

Looking better mate. Using the livery editor is quite hard and I guarantee that the more you practice the better you will get.

Also used the same approach but played around with colours on a viper, went for a deep turquoise!
McLaren and the Viper both look nice but I would make the side “betsafe” logo on the Viper smaller. Also it is good to align logo’s with the natural lines of the car.
