i play on pc. this is the second club i have created. i deleted the first one because of this very problem. Any suggestions ?
These are two totally different things. In Freeroam your CLUB tag is shown (this is the 2000 capacity club). In online multiplayer lobbies your TEAM tag is shown (this is the 25 capacity adventure team). If you want it to appear in both you need to create a Club AND a Team with the same tag (assuming you want the tag to look the same in both situations). But oddly, on the Grandmaster leaderboards or any leaderboard for that matter, your CLUB tag will be shown instead of your TEAM tag.

It doesn’t happen instantly. Sometimes you need to restart the game before the tag will appear in the multiplayer lobby. Its the same as a gamertag name change, the system needs time to update and display the correct information.
i was wrong about creating the adventure team with the 25 limit. how do i do it ?
To create a TEAM you need to go to the Online Adventure tab in the pause menu. There you will find the tile to Find Team or Create a Team.
