I have been having the same problem, very frequently. When I am flying down the long stretch highway at 220 mph+, my car immediately stops and goes down to 0 mph.
Once I do reach 220 mph, I can see that there is no road ahead of me, that means the game is struggling to keep up. So then I proceed to slow down a bit so that the game can catch up, but it still stops me.
It’s really difficult to see my cars top speed or to get 3 stars on that speed trap down the highway. This happens to me in Solo as well. I haven’t experienced this in a race at all though.
You don’t actually know what the game is doing to get a spec on it… it could be loading all of the graphics in the game for all you know.
Anyway I put the game on an external hard drive on the XBox One S, and it still breaks up at 270mph, and you hit an invisible wall, so it improved it, but didn’t fix it.
IM ABOUT TO THROW THIS THING AT SOMEBODY!! I can’t win a single race on the juggernaut, it happens two maybe three times per pass! Always over 200 and if im driving my GT3 RS, Theres no chance it won’t happen. I get so pissed when it happens I grab the brakes real fast and the “glitch” is so bad most of the time I roll backwards in reverse for a second if I time it right… it’s embarrassing and makes me want to shut it off.
I am a fan, I only play Horizon, I’m about to dig into the settings and see if there’s anything I can mess with… this performance mode sounds interesting
I have a one year old Xbox One S with no other games on it and 200mbps internet.
I have noticed some issues on my One X where the world is rendered a bit late and objects/textures just start popping up in front of me but I’ve never had any issues where my car would suddenly come to a stop at or above 200 mph.
Not sure how to upload a video lol. But ever since I have had this game. Since release, its constantly done the disappearing terrain and the car will go instantly to zero. I quit over it reinstalled a few months ago…and it STILL has the issue! I’ve gotten an xbox x now and it was happening on my S as well. Hard wired, wireless, no difference. why this has not been addressed when it’s been an issue for years is BEYOND me. Game companies just add content and never fix issues it seems. Sad state that gaming industry has become.
