Tried to do a race, didn’t qualify so started last.
Race starts stuck in some track side replay camera.
I had full control of the car but obviously couldn’t see where I was going.
Quit and turned PC off.
Gamepass PC version.
Can confirm this problem.
Xbox series X, have joined the qualifier series twice, qualified both times, both times the race started in this fly by view and I could not change views.
Quit out and went back to single player.
How to reproduce:
- Start a qualifying session in multiplayer
- During the last lap, instead of crossing the finish line, enter the pitlane to abort your lap
- Qualifying will automatically end
- Choose the “race” option and go into practice
Expected:
The camera is inside the car, as per normal
Actual:
The camera is in the pitlane. The car is not visible
I recently tried pitting just as practice ended just to see what happened, it ended up in a broken camera at race start and no steering controls.

Cant do anything to break out it looks like. Ended up leaving shortly after
Had the same problem right after going for a pitstop in practice.
I read somewhere that this can happen when you finish training in the pitlane. Somehow the camera gets stuck then. Just be sure to end training on the track in the future and hopefully this gets fixed sooner rather than later.
I also lost 2 races to this bug
Bug Info: if you pit on your last lap of qualifier you will end up playing in the race with a locked camera from replay.
