Mod Rewards Denied

Hey guys. Fuzzy headline perhaps but I didn’t know what to write.

I was racing a 20-lap race on the single player campaign on Yas Marina Circuit (full track) and had three mods to help boost my credit-reward after the race was done.
All these mods had the “Inside Track Race” which means I could not leave the track or the criteria for my mods would not be met and I would not get the credit boosts after the race was complete.

At lap 13 I had to refuel my car and I went inside the pit area. When I resumed control over the car back on the track I saw that the mod-criteria now all had ‘X’ written on them and had turned orange, meaning I had left the track. This had me really frustrated because I play long races all the time and I always use mods to boost my earnings. I tried to rewind but couldn’t rewind far enough to where I didn’t enter the pit-area where I could set ‘Tire & Fuel’ to ‘Cosmetic’.

Now I have no idea if, while using these mods, I’m not intended to have ‘Tire & Fuel Wear’ set to cosmetic, or if I simply should stop doing long races. But I cannot help to feel like this is an unintended feature of the game. Getting punished for having tires & fuel set to simulation and playing long races while using mods seems like something that simply should not happen.

I’ve saved the replay but I don’t know what else to say or do and I don’t know if I will ever earn these credits back. I just felt like sharing this while supressing the rage
Does anyone have thoughts or knowledge of this matter or in what I should do?

A lot of people are finding this. If you enter the pits, you’ve effectively left the track. Whether or not this should be the case is a bone of contention, but for the purposes of meeting the mod conditions, you need to have fuel/tyre wear set to cosmetic if you use those mods on long races so you don’t have to pit.

Alternatively, you could go into the settings when your fuel is low, switch it to cosmetic, carry on a bit further then switch it back to sim, and hey presto, fuel and tyres replaced without pitting (also does it to AI cars though so no real advantage gained).

I’ll do as you say. I did it once when I was new to the game, I had lost my lead and wanted to catch up but had low fuel lol.

This completely ruins the flow of the game for me. It’s really sad. But I guess I have to do it.
