I’ve been trying to farm points this week to obtain the pair of rare, expensive cars. As such, I’ve been keeping track of the points I’ve been earning. After getting the required points for the Apollo, I had 45 points left over.
After completing two Forzathons, full completion, with the house to double points, I was at… 125
After completing two more, I was at 245
After completing a fifth, I was at… 245 (All of these were full completions, all 3 rounds.)
It’s hard enough trying to get 1500 points in a week when you can only get 60 an hour. Especially given how many points I’ve lost being disconnected mid-event thanks to the servers being garbage. But now I’m getting points taken away even when I’m there the whole time and complete the event?
I’ve done a lot of Forzathon Live events and never ever experienced a problem like this so it has to be one of those things that doesn’t affect a lot of players because I also haven’t seen this mentioned before either. But hopefully support can have a look at your account and see if there’s something off with it and get it fixed for you!
I thought I had the same thing a few months ago when I 1st started playing the game as I was doing Forzathon Live to get points. I think it happened a few times im sure of it.
Are you on the Xbox or PC? Im on Xbox myself so normally what I do before I exit the game is go to the Festival Site (I have this set to my home anyway) as its easy to fast travel via the pause menu rather than opening the map up etc. Anyway once in the Festival Site I exit to the main world and then at the bottom by the Speedo will be a small rotating circle this is saying the game is saving, I let this disappear before exiting. I sometimes then head back into the Festival Site again and then quit the game after a few seconds.
Maybe its worth doing this if you don’t already. Maybe even switch to another car, its just making sure the game saves. Cause if you quit the game as soon as you get the Forzarthon points from the Live event it may not have saved at all.
PC version. And yea, I’m going to have to start switching cars after the forzathon JUST to be safe, force that extra save. Not that it should be necessary, the game should save when you go to log out. That and it SHOULD save on the server side, it SHOULD know who completed the events. Just another example of really bad execution from MS’s side.
Same problem. Occasional occasions, sometimes it does not fail and sometimes, even 2 times in a row or more. I opened the ticket to the support and they told me to attach captures at the moments that happen, that is, they should always be recorded and discarded when it does not happen, I guess, upload it to the drive and cross your fingers. Anyway, the support sent me 400 points as a gift. But the problem remains unsolved, yesterday it happened once again.
I wouldn’t know if it’s related to your issues, but I found out that completing a race after a #Forzathon Live, even just the Festival Drag Strip, as opposed to exiting the game as soon as the #Forzathon Live is completed, really helped making sure the #Forzathon Points were saved and banked properly.
I hadn’t paid much attention to this before, but I happened to check my FP balance prior to completing the remaining Daily Challenge for this season and noticed that I didn’t receive the FP Bonus after completing all of the Weekly Forzathon and Daily Forzathon challenges. I’m currently playing on Xbox. Has anyone else experienced this as well? If not, then I’ll hold off on submitting a bug report until after I verify it with the new season. TIA.
I recall reading about this sort of thing happening. Try searching forums and Forza Reddit and if you find this has happened to others, don’t hesitate submitting a ticket.
I did search the Forum earlier but couldn’t find a related thread. Judging from the lack of responses, I think the bonus isn’t something that people pay much attention to because it’s really only worth three rounds of a Forzathon Live event. However, if it’s a bug that was recently introduced, then it might be a good idea for those concerned to keep an eye on their FP balances prior to completing this season’s Forzathon Playlist challenges. That said, I think it’s best for me to make sure that this is a reproduceable error before reporting it, since it probably isn’t helpful to Support if it were just a one-time event. The earliest for me to check on this again is next Wednesday. The other issue is if this is a seasonal bug; then I’ll need to wait until next month for another attempt at reproducing it.
I will say that I did get the bonus last season. It’s not something I’d usually notice, but I did notice that I hit 12K with the second to last daily, so I’m certain I got the bonus after the last one.
I only thought to check my FP balance for last season because I completely forgot to do the final autumn daily challenge from two seasons ago. Back then I completed that missing challenge at the start of the new season (winter). However, I didn’t receive a Forzathon bonus for doing that despite my autumn playlist being retroactively updated. I assumed it was because the season for that challenge had already expired. So I was a bit surprised when I didn’t receive a bonus last season after finishing everything on time. I’ll keep an eye on things for a little while, but it appears to be a random issue from what I understand. Anyway, thanks for the update!
Check if you still own Lake Lodge. I have had this problem several times. Every time I had lost somehow ownership of the house. Just rebuy it for free and you get double points again. Hope this helps.
Now that changes everything. The bonus is not for completing those 7 specific daily challenges in the week, it’s for completing any 7 daily challenges in a week. You probably got the bonus 1 day earlier when you weren’t checking since that one of last week’s would be on this week’s total.
I had an issue with it not saving a daily completed last week “two Drafting Skills”, came back three days later to knockout the next three and it said expired, Was going for the 100% for the Season and that issue stopped that. I almost don’t bother complaining about the issues anymore or opening a ticket, cause that gets nowhere and takes months for replies to tickets.
