Before the Black Series, there was the CLK DTM. An ultra-limited (100 coupes, 80 roadsters) special to celebrated Mercedes’ victory in the German touring car championship. It upped the power to a whopping 582 PS (in 2004!) from a supercharged V8 and was as ferocious as expensive. It has DTM-developed front apron, intake ducts, flared wheel arches and rear wing and, of course, a lot of carbon fiber. The CLK DTM was the first of the ultra-special, ultra-limited AMG Performance cars and remains revered to this day, with values around half a million €.
