Hi,
I’m having a hard time finding a good or perfect tuner for the McLaren P1 for bumpy Rio.
I’m mainly getting out-of-control rear understeer, but my front seams to be okay, but with the rear understeering into a drift I can’t find a good balance with the front.
I play project cars also and I know the complexity of the terms but it’s a different feel in this game with the DX12.
If anyone found a good start-up setting for it, please post it here. (btw im using an XboxOne Controller on the PC)
I’ll spend a few more hours, LOL, on fine tuning and if i find it i’ll post it here too.
Thanks

I’m in a similar pickle. I race with a wheel in ProjectCARS, Asseto Corsa, the F1 series, Dirt… ect. The P1 is a mad hatter on wheels. Back end likes to go out like crazy no matter how I adjust the suspension. I assumed the problem with Rio was the bumps needed softer suspension on the rear, but I cannot find any good balance anywhere. I’m using an Xbox controller on the PC version of Forza, and the P1 won’t give me a break.
In real life, they call that car “The Widow Maker”, and say it takes an expert driver to control it. It’s an overpowered beast. I guess it was translated over pretty well in the games. I tried it in Project Cars and even with assists on, it’s still squirrely. It’s not as bad in Apex.
I also came to the conclusion that the suspension in the rear needed to be softened, that the tire pressure needed to be lowered, and that the differential needed some tweaking. As everyone else has had the problem I just can not seem to find a good setup with this “Widow Maker”. I believe that have the rest of the tuning unlocked will make it to where we can have a stable setup.
