The 720 is my favorite super car so it holds a sweet spot in me. Now knowing that it can compete for best lap in Goliath makes it the more special. Just cruising down the road in it getting sub 8 makes me fuzzy inside 
Before I couldn’t do that in the regular 720.
I don’t tend to engine swap because I like to keep a level of authenticity. I only do it for lap record.

A sub 8:00 car on S2 998. Very smooth and finally a fast 720s build without the use of ugly Forza spoilers.
Is that when driven on dry roads rather than the damp roads for the Goliath S2 rivals event? There’s very few people below 8:00 for that rivals event.
Done on dry conditions yes. I’m testing all S1 and S2 cars on Goliath and dry conditions help me the most to identify problems in the tune/build.
That rivals event on wet roads is an interesting test, though, especially with the Ultima being the fastest car. It’s exceptionally demanding of driving skill, I drove against Attax Johnson’s ghost while using his Ultima tune, and he’s never pulled away from me like that in FM7 rivals. It’s possible his shared tune isn’t what he used for his drive, though, as the leaderboard doesn’t link to the tune used. You should give it a try, I’m sure you’ll be faster than me.
Gave it a try and adjusted my Ultima only for this race with an extremely risky but fast build. It’s incredibly difficult to get a clean lap out of it. Clocked three 7:51s on which I had to rewind once. With a little less risk 7:55s are doable or <7:51s if everything works.
Very impressive! To have any chance of doing a clean lap, I have to be pretty conservative in quite a lot of places, and those time losses all add up. I’m very impressed by anyone who can consistently push it closer to the limit in that car and conditions and go one lap without a major incident!
This explains why, when I listed at the auction with a $300K Buy It Now price it literally sold in seconds…
There were 4 listed on the AH earlier. Priced at 187k, ~200k, ~500k and 20M.
Right before I was about to buy one, someone came in and bought every single one of them…

You should try to get the Maserati MC12 FE, I ran a sub 8 minute lap the first time I went around Goliath with it and it’s got a speed skill boost so you get more influence from it. DJS ran just over 7 min in it.
On a side note, I wonder where mine is, I preordered the game back in June because I was so excited for it and still haven’t gotten the code for this car, yet people who preordered 2 days before the game came out already got their code from XBox. I got the McLaren Senna code for playing the demo, but not this 720S Preorder car.
::EDIT:: Found my 720S, turns out because the email I used when setting up my new PC is different from my XBox Live email, they sent the code to an XBox Live account that it automatically created for me. I actually kind of noticed this awhile ago when I went to log in and a strange gamertag came up. Kind of silly, but I was able to write down the codes, switch back to my correct account, and then redeem them without an issue. Something I will have to remember in the future I suppose.
I was trying to get the MC12 FE too after watching his vid, but it’s most likely unobtainable through the auction house.
His second best car is the Sesto and in all honesty I don’t think it’s as good as the 720 PO in all aspects (handling, cornering and speed).
I tried both my own tune and DJS tune on the Sesto and it is NOT as quick and nimble as the 720.
DJS made his vid before the 720 PO was introduced to the game; it would be nice to see if he could get a quicker lap than the Sesto and update his top 10 Goliath cars.
Djs is also missing tvr sagaris fe, because even i have drive 7,52 lap with that one.
Yes, the MC12 FE will not be found on the AH, don’t think you can wheel spin it either. You get it from a skill perk on the 300 S, buy the car from the auto show as the ones on the AH have already been stripped of their MC12 FEs. Sure, getting the car will set you back 6mil, but it is an amazing car. Just wish it had some better S2 tunes available right now since X does not exactly race online
How did you get that code? I am playing the Ultimate Edition and haven’t gotten one.
In the United States, I believe only digital pre-orders of the Ultimate Edition received redemption codes for the 2018 McLaren 720S and the Limited Edition Festival Jumper if the pre-orders were made online through the Microsoft Store.
This thread made me jump into the 720S. I’ve been trying to find a go to supercar that equals my BAC Mono X class. In the 720s I honestly struggled to stay better than 11th or 12 place at those speeds and at my level. Many times if I seemed to be catching up I would lose control and instantly be last place. I jumped back in the BAC and that thing is sooooo nice to control I was easily 3rd place. I got the most popular tune download. It’s sad because I LOVE so many of the cars like the 720s, and especially the Zonda. They look so good, but I keep finding myself in the BAC. I downloaded the most popular 720s tune. Is there a better tune I can try? You should compare that BAC!
Edit: Ok so I tried the Zonda in the same race and easily won 1st. It’s weird because I didn’t feel like I was going as fast but dominated. Happy driver now.
The car you choose affects the standard of the AI, so a slower car can be better at winning. You need to use lap time to judge how fast the car is.
