Me literally thinking about ditching Forza for GT in order to sim race the 2019+ Mazda3… Hell, that game even has the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 which looks sick and has the roaring rotary in it. Until Mazda releases the next gen Miata I don’t think Forza will add a modern Mazda which sucks
I’ve heard a LOT of people who are unfamiliar with the Mazda3 or Mazda who love it after driving it in that game, and it is a HUGE competitor in its driving class due to the AWD and high torque. Consumers don’t always know what they want until they get or try it / have more exposure to it, but that’s an issue with Mazda in general having so little advertising or dealerships in the US. So many people just don’t know much about Mazda, are stuck on the ford era Mazda issue opinions, or have no opinion or thoughts about it since they’re busy thinking about their favorite car brand (and don’t see many advertisements for Mazda so its just out of sight out of mind).
A lot of people are also finding them because their primary competition are higher price for features that Mazda has standard, have zero incentives, cost above MSRP, and have 6 month wait times and are super popular with thieves and insurance company underwriters looking to increase premiums. Hey man, it’s just the Nissan Tsuru of its day right, I was just hoping maybe we wouldn’t have to wait till it’s 30 years old to see it in a game.
As a 2022 Mazda 3 Hatchback - AWD - 2.5L Turbo owner, I can say whole-heartedly it is the most fun daily driver car I have ever driven. Satisfyingly strong acceleration and competent through the corners but still very comfortable, premium looking and feeling interior and painfully good looking exterior. Even after a couple years of owning it I still look back at it as I walk away after parking it. It would be an excellent addition to the game
The only new addition to Mazdas that Turn 10 has given us is the 323 but they took away the Mazdaspeed 3 (and it feels like they’re taunting us by keeping it as a traffic car but not letting us drive it anymore). Please Turn 10, for the love of God give us some new Mazda cars! (Gran Turismo is so far ahead on this)
This is my current daily driver. It’s by far the best car I’ve ever owned, and I want nothing more than to be able to absolutely send this thing on my sim rig without having to worry about tickets I’m also glad that it’s not just me that wants to see this car added.
Fiesta was fine but instead of the Durango, would love to see this car along GR Corolla, Civic Type R FK11, Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S non hybrid facelift or SQ7 facelift 1 and 2 with V8 engine.
