Manual with clutch worth it on rivals for spa?

Spent an hour practicing and running spa on rivals an just set the 49th fastest lap in the
World. BUT I think I could’ve faster I was using the meta downgraded Ferrari #1 car running no ABS sport tc and manual however I felt like there was time lost in the lap on shifting for those running manual with clutch would you say it’s with it to transfer over to it?

M/c is basically free shift time reduction with race transmission, since if u use race transmission, u don’t have to use clutch when shifting in manual + clutch mode. It’s the same as using manual, only when u want to use reverse gear, only then u need to use clutch.

Seriously!?!?! Isn’t that the whole point of having a clutch what’s the point of running manual if m/c is faster but the same thing seems interesting

Well that’s only if u have race transmission installed, and in real life if u have straight cut gears/dogbox, u don’t have too use clutch either. :sunglasses:

I had a decent first crack at a couple rival events last night. I also watched a replay of one of my runs and, the AI did not shift anywhere near as intense as I did. I wonder if the AI is actively controlling the car during the replay. Its definitely not a replay of what I was doing on track.

If you miss a shift and it takes 2-3 seconds to go in gear, then no it’s not worth it. If you can do it right wide open throttle up shifting and rev match your downshifts it really does help. Just my experience. I love it. However I think fm7 was more accurate for the clutch usage. This game lets you downshift wo the clutch and no transmission grind. Where as fm7 did grind if you didn’t use the clutch. I prefer it that way. More life like to me.
