Forza Sprint Night #14, Presented by our Grand Marshall this week, Thomas Guest Jr.!
This week, we are celebrating NASCAR playing at the Daytona Roval with our second race. RULES UPDATE For the NASCAR race, I will be forcing in car driving aids to be disabled. This will not be the “New Normal”, it will just be for this race. Driving Line and Track Limits will still be available.
Sticking with the Americana theme, our last race is going to be our “Trans Am” event at Road America.
Schedule:
1900 EST - 8 minute ghost practices at all 3 tracks. As soon as I change the track I want to start the next practice. They are intentionally short to just dust off cobwebs, and to allow some wiggle room for late entries.
1930-ish EST - Finish practices, 5-10 minute race setup/pee/water/beer break
1940 - Begin below races.
Race #1
Car: Homologated Mazda MX-5 Cup Car
Track: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Qualifying: 10 Minute Ghost
Race: 6 Laps
Race #2
Car: Homologated NASCAR (Vehicle Assists Forced Off)
Track: Daytona Road Course
Qualifying: 10 Minute Ghost
Race: 6 Laps
Race #3
Car: Homologated Historic Road Racers (U.S.A Only)
Track: Watkins Full Alt (Boot Yes, Chicane No)
Qualifying: 10 Minute Ghost
Race: 8 Laps
General rules:
-You have a few days, show up with your cars ready to go.
-A livery is required! Go to Designs, search “Racing” or “realistic” or “Monster Energy” and find something.
-Questions on a class? Msg me, I’m the CRB, GCR, Chief Steward, Tech, and Flag Chief, I can answer all.
-There will be no restart at an aborted turn 1.
-There WILL be (1) restart attempt for the race if someone gets disconnected at the start of a race session.
- Normal driving courtesies are expected, so remain situationally aware. Recommend a chase view for the first few turns.
- Have patience and don’t try to buck the system. What the classes are above should be clear enough that you know the intent. We’re not here to min/max, we’re here to have some fun.
As always, add me:

After the 3 races, we’ll go to our usual debauchery of random silliness.
