there was a V8 powered Europa conceptualised to try and impress ford when they were looking to beat ferarri I believe, comissioned by the company GKN with hopes to race at Le Mans.

This did not impress ford enough however, and they went to another british race car maker, Lola, to make the Ford GT40. Ive read that the europa its self was first designed to make this car for ford, then once failled lotus got another engine to power it to produce it for the street, though im not sure how true that is.

I think it would be cool to see this concept brought to life in game, since its one of the coolest looking europas designed imo.
