On controller you can do it, but there is no way to do it on wheel - I think being able to map a 45 degree left or right would be enough. It would give the option to look at mirrors when they are not in view.
If you map look forward to another button and keep it pressed while pressing look left/right button it allows you to look left/right from the cockpit.
Alternatively if you are on PC and have a handbrake, you can map look forward to the handbrake with reversed axis (registers as pressed when is released and vice versa) so look forward is always pressed, then you just need to press look left/right button to look left/right from the cockpit.
This is not ideal as you have to either press two buttons to get it to work or sacrifice a handbrake, so I upvoted your suggestion.
WHAT?? That is awesome. Thank you so much!! OMG if this works on FM7 as well… Im gonna hate myself
When using cockpit cam as a wheel user, look left/right bindings produce a camera view external to the car which ia immersion breaking.
Can this instead be looking left and right from the driver’s perspective, as it would when using a controller?
Much prefer looking through the windows and wing mirrors to check my sides.
You can do that by pushing your right stick up and then to the side.
steering wheel does not have sticks…
We need this to look into the outside mirrors. Please add this.
