While this one is a stretch and more of a personal favorite, I’ve always loved the RWD, V8, low-slung Mark VIII. It’s the last breath of Personal Luxury Coupes & an awesome one at that!

Specs (Mark VIII LSC):

  • Engine: 4.6L V8 (naturally aspirated)
  • Horsepower: 290 @ 5750 rpm
  • Torque: 295 lb-ft @ 4500 rpm
  • Transmission: 4-speed automatic
  • Drivetrain: RWD
  • 0-60: 7.5 seconds (this was Lincoln’s claim at the time, though some sources claimed it to be slightly lower, such as in the high-6’s)
  • Top speed: Likely to be electronically limited at 130 mph, but without the limiter, it can reach speeds in a little under 150 mph
  • Note: “LSC” is an acronym for “Luxury Sports Coupe”, which is a performance-oriented version of the base Mark VIII introduced in mid-1995; while it has nearly the same features as the base model, including the transmission, Lincoln added a more aggressive axle ratio of 3:27:1, along with other sporty and luxurious features like unique body colors, distinct rear decklid badging, perforated leather seat inserts, and HID (high-intesity discharge) headlights
