I am sure there are T10 folks who sift through the LBs and league data, but it seems as though the 65 Mini Cooper and the Alpine A110 are the first untouchable leaderboard cars in D class. It’s unfortunate for people who want to compete legitimately in League racing. I’m hoping we’ll see a patch and leaderboard purge if those builds are found to be exploits, but how will league rankings be handled? Is there anything that can be done to dis-incentivize people from choosing LB cars, or is that all league racing is going to be?
It is legitimately though. they’re being smart using the faster cars.

I don’t think this is accurate. Someone on Reddit posted the glitched AWD build for D class. Plus, while not especially quick, I’m decent, and the Minis come very close to DNFing me in some of the longer races.
Yeah, these aren’t legitimate builds. they’re PI exploits or miscalculations that are causing these things to outperform the intended class. There are a couple popular tunes being used (can’t recall the names right now) that are winning by 30+ sec over 2nd place in a 3 lap race where the rest of the pack is highly competitive.
the whole “just gotta embrace the LB cars” attitude is fine if that’s the way the community wants to treat it… i just won’t take part in it. Plenty of “sanctioned” league racing to be had elsewhere. I just hope that T10 recognizes it as a problem for one of their new franchise features. I’d love to see it fixed.
Haven’t seen any dreaded '65 minis yet in league play, but I did see a 110. It WAS fast as hell, but he kept crashing into tirewalls and spinning.
I didn’t use either the Alpine or Mini 65 until the today when. I finished 7th in Pinnacle. The first 2 definitely abused these cars to win with the one guy having over 30k points leaving everyone behind in points. I think this week with the spec series, things may improve, but B-class will have the same problems. I think they should add more restrictions later on to weed out all the leaderboard cars and have force people to use certain cars in certain groups like rally or touring.

People will always take the Leaderboardcar if they can. Everybody is racing to win. But there are Leagues like the Ford GT only League starting today in Elite Skill (i believe). Thats the chance to drive non leaderboard cars.
Somebody know when this League end to step up in skilllevel?
