Jaguar F-TYPE R Coupe 2015 - audio (1758592)

Jaguar F type has an abysmal sound. Nothing like the actual car. Sounds like a leaf blower on steroids with bass added.

T10, what did you do to the sounds?

Also, who’s bright idea was it to get us beta testers to create a new post every time we come across a new car audio issue? Please have respect for your customers’ time!

A unified thread with ALL the cars in one place and have a small team track it isn’t too much to ask is it?

@opencamswrx
Does this issue still persist after recent updates? Would it be possible to provide a video of this in action?

Hi,

It’s still the same. Nothing’s changed. Same robotic, synthesised and made up sound with bass added.

Sounds nothing like the real supercharged F-type with it’s throaty growl, “dirty” exhaust noise and prominent pops and bangs on off throttle and downshifts.

Hoping to see this fixed. Dreadful sound and not at all what the “F”-type sounds like IRL.

This and all the modern Jaguar sedans sound completely wrong and flat. Seem to be using some kind of placeholder sound.

Here’s what the Jaguar F-Type R sounds like in-game:

And here are the videos of what it actually sounds like IRL:

Not sure if GT7’s sound of it can be counted. I think it sounds fair enough.

As of October, no improvement to this car. It has a really “dirty”, raspy, and hair raising V8 supercharged sound IRL, with obnoxious-sounding pops and bangs! Would absolutely love to hear that in the game.

I have no doubt in my mind Mike and his team will pull it off.

This along with all the modern Jag sedans and 2-door sports models need a sound update sorely. They are all generic “Euro” V8 sound samples.
