I ask because I have a car with the drift tap perk giving me 9000 points for each … if I do 2 or 3 in quick succession (withing 10 seconds say) it seems only the first one counts …
wait a while and it counts again …
Maybe it is just what counts as a drift tap seems to vary a lot … just wondering if anyone had any numbers on this ?
They added one back in FH3. I don’t recall exactly how long, though.
Definitely a cool down period. 15 or 20 seconds probably. It was there in FH3 too, in that game drift tap was king. I had mastered it and used it to finish my biggest skill chains
I’m sure they added the cool down period in FH3 because people were grinding crazy amounts of XP on the barrier on the coast road near where Goliath was ending.
it kinda makes sense … if I could get a number on it I could optimise the taps as best I can
The cool down time in Forza Horizon 3 after it was updated was 30 seconds. See if you can perform a drift tap earlier than that. If not, then that’s your number.
There seems to be a cooldown on a lot of the skills, it may also reset after a certain number of other skills are performed between drift taps. I am definitely not very good at drift tapping so I won’t be of any help trying to figure it out.
