I purchased Horizon 2 approximately 4.5hrs ago. It has been downloading ever since and is only at 12%. Is there anything I can do to speed it up? On xb1.
Call your internet provider to upgrade or complain.
I have the fastest I can get here, which isn’t great but nothing I can do. 15MBps DSL. Literally no other option besides dial up or satellite internet. In fact new customers can’t even buy that high anymore, I’m grandfathered in. Not much competition in rural Maine. The xbox one says it’s downloading at 170KBps at the moment.
I downloaded Destiny just fine 2 weeks ago.
If you’re using wireless and have the option to plug in a Ethernet cable temporarily do that when I did that this afternoon it went way faster. For some reason it takes a lot longer over wireless even though I’m right next to the router using wireless n/ac.
Always install your games offline. Then update your game when the install is done. It took me 20 minutes to be able to play the game

Can’t really install a digital game offline. I don’t have a disc.
I left it on overnight and it was done when I woke up. Now just need to wait until work is over.
The servers were really slow yesterday, I have a 150 MBit connection and it took me 2.5 hours to download the approx 30 gigs. With full speed it shouldn’t have taken more than 30 minutes.
Yeah, if you have 15mb DSL I would bet XBL’s servers are smashed with people trying to get Forza. That’s why i ended up pre-loading the night before.
It took me about 15-20 minutes for the full install
