Importing Forza 3 profile effects

I just picked up Forza 4 and it is asking to import my Forza 3 settings. What will this do? Will this affect the rewards points?

I guess I should be a little clearer on what I’m asking. I’ve googled what happens when Forza 3 is imported. Here is the situation.

I haven’t completed Forza 3. I am level 25. Is there any advantage or disadvantage in waiting until I get more cars and a higher level before stating Forza 4 and importing the Forza 3 profile? I think there is an achievement about receiving loyalty cars.

pretty certain you need to import at the beginning of Forza 4, as it can’t be done later.

I’m not 100% certain, but I believe the import just duplicates certain cars and your vinyls into FM4. I don’t think it removes them from FM3, so it should not affect your ability to finish the game in any way. The only advantage to waiting would be to earn more cars that would be eligible to be imported. Some of the cars eligible to be imported I believe are unicorns, so if you don’t have them you probably can’t get them now any way.

Regarding the import hers how it works

It will simply read your FM3 profile and will gift you cars based on your lvl and for some if you have that car in your fm3 garage at the time of the import It will not effect your FM3 save at all it will just give you some cars to start off with in FM4

The import only happens at the beginning of the gamesave after the first race in the rented Ferrari 458. After you pass the prompt to import your gamesave is not able to perform the import. You can delete the gamesave and create a new one if you do want to do the import.

Based on your Forza 3 driver level, you start your Forza 4 garage with these cars. These are player loyalty rewards.

If you have any of the following cars are in your Forza 3 profile’s garage, you start your Forza 4 garage with Forza 4 version of the same car. These cars are community loyalty rewards.

The secret car is a dmc Delorean
