I signed up for xbox live and I've lost my paints. OH NO!!!

It’s saying I can’t paint my cars because of my xbox account settings. Saying I’m parental locked. I AM the parent. So I can’t paint my car because I’m locked out? LOL.

How does one fix this?

Also, it appears like the decals I made are now gone too. What the heck. Strange thing is all the cars I owned and the builds on them seems fine.

I got it. I just had to change my account settings for my profile.

Another thing that is kind of screwed up is I have this groovierwolf3 account that xbox set up for me when I signed up. But I started playing forza under a name I made in there long before setting up a name on here. So it’s a different name / account. I hope that doesn’t make problems…

Now it’s not allowing me to race online. I can do rivals, and all the other stuff but I have to sign in to the one account to actually race on line. I don’t get it.

Doesn’t Gold membership cover more than one account on the xbox?

This stuff is frustrating!!! I’ve spent my whole night trying get all this to work and it’s still not complete. Ugh.

No It does’nt

That’s retarded, why not? You have to get a separate account for each person to be able to play online?

The weird thing is I went into my old account and my son’s account and it appears like it will let us race in the Rival’s section, use the marketplace and all that jazz, but will NOT let us race online. When I went into the account I created just yesterday to try out this whole online thing, it will allow me to race. But none of my progress is saved under “that guy”. I have a whole livery of a Ford Ka.

If this is true, that you can’t use multiple accounts, can I gift my cars and some money to the “new account”?

I thought someone on here said you can use multiple accounts on Gold. I still don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to. What’s the point of it if you can’t?

Gold status is tied to the account, not the box. That way you can retrieve the account from a different system should the original break/you buy the next system released.

In the end, I feel like it is actually better that way. Less hassle between system generations, and probably an overall lower cost because it’s a harder system to take advantage of. I understand why it can be frustrating at times though, my girlfriend has to take advantage of the 48 hour codes if she wants to use Shift codes on Borderlands 2 when she split-screens with me, because those are tied to a gold subscription for some reason.

As far as having multiple accounts, it is kind of the same way. Nothing is shared between accounts, even if they are on the same console. Gamerscore/save data/etc are all partitioned separately on the hard drive, so there is no crossover. I would imagine that it also means no designs will carry over from one to the other either. Assuming Forza 4 (5 doesn’t have it yet), I think gifting would be the easiest way, yes.

If not, then I’m really not sure. I switched to a Live account back in the Forza 2 days, and ran mostly plain cars back then, so the biggest bullet I had to bite was losing my Gamerscore and achievements from it.

Good luck!

So if my son and I want to play someone else in Madden, together, it won’t work?

I’m not understanding this. That doesn’t make any sense. They gotta know that there are families using these things and not just one person.

But again, the weird thing is that it allows the account I was using all along, plus my son’s to go into rivals and it appears like we could race there. We both can go into the marketplace, but we can’t race online. It did seem like it was going to allow the one account to race online, but that’s the one I just created and it’s got no progress. Pffffffffffffffffffffffft.

Gold status is only shared on the Xbox One. Still game saves and content will only be under one profile (the one who saved the game). On the 360 everything is separate. You have to have a gold account for each user to play online.

I tried to look up how much a family account is and can’t find that info.

Another weird thing is it allowed me to race in Rivals on my old account. Why would it let me do that but then not race online? I’m guessing because it’s not a Gold account. So I could gift a car to my account that is able to race online from my account that can’t correct?

How do I do that?

Family accounts are no longer around. They killed it last year. If you look around on amazon you can sometimes find a year of gold for $30-$40

As far as gifting goes, I think it has to be done on a gold account.

So I can’t give the cars I’ve earned from the one account to the other because the one doing the gifting isn’t a Gold account. Geeez.

Why would it let me race on rivals then?

Another question would be: Can I transfer the live gold from one xbox account to another?

Gold transfer is something you would have to go through support to do I would imagine, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

If Madden allows guest accounts, there is no reason you can’t play together, you just wouldn’t be able to play with both gamertags logged in, much like how Halo or CoD works with splitscreen. I’m not much into non-racing sports games, so I don’t know all of the particulars though.

My gold account is shared across the XO? I didn’t know that. I figured it was one of the features that got cut when they eliminated the DRM policies.

I guess I’ll just pay the money and set up Gold on my account that I use. No biggy. I wish I would’ve done it the right way the first time so I could’ve gotten a free month, LOL.
