I followed a painter. Now what?

Hi folks,

I’ve been away from the game since F4. Painters were royalty back then and deservedly so. They drove the community spirit with giveaways, contests and generosity Although, their work was constantly ripped off. So, that part really sucked

I followed a painter from DLK. That in itself was a hell of a process. You can’t just search for your favourite artist. You apparently have to be in a car they have painted. So now what?

Am I missing something? Or, is there still a way to view all the works of a given painter?

It should be on the find design tab without searching. If you don’t follow that many it’ll be first if the person has a paint.

Thanks Forty. I guess what I was really looking for was something akin to the defunct Storefront from Forza 4. At the very least, a gallery in game for every painter.

The default paints offered for many/most cars are pretty sad. Many are not even “designs”. I’m rarely offered designs that excite me. Even though I know that insanely talented painters are out there somewhere.

Overall, it doesn’t seem like the tremendous contribution painters make, and have made historically, to Forza aren’t valued as highly as they once were. Hopefully T10 can find a better way to promote these talented people in the future.

I’ve always been a collector of great paints first, a painter second, so I totally feel your pain trying to find paints. Horizon 4 has a creators Hub which is a huge step forward, but finding paints in Motorsport 5,6 or 7 is like pulling teeth.
Coming to the forums is a great start, there are a lot of good painters that have threads here, also browsing the contest pages (news and events, community events section) can find you some cool cars.
When you follow someone, check out their profile for screenshots. Search their Gt in the in-game Forza Gallery too.
And if there is a painter you really like, send them a message on Xbox. I’ve picked up several cars over the years from asking, generally they become garage favorites.

Apologies to anyone I missed, for sure thought XIXdraculaXIX had a thread.
Right now there are no paints available by our founder Dreadwalker73 in Forza 7. All I can say is it was not his choosing and it’s a great loss for us paint collectors.

I don’t know much about painting but these people managed to help me paint my walls back after they tore and reinstalled the air conditioning

What would you think about air con in general. Sorry for digressing but if you are interested can you reply here? I am curious because I am looking for another company to follow I had my own problems with my air con but I managed to fix it after reading the DIY article on the website. I still had to employ them for servicing though. Think it is a good lifestyle habit and choice to pick up.
