Hyundai Ioniq 5 2023 - missing simulated engine audio

Currently, the Ioniq 5 N is only available in EV mode, this means it’s missing it’s most distinct feature, the simulated engine feature. This should be added as a option.

It’s also missing the optional shift mode.

Dear PlayGround Games, the Ignition sound mode that provides a distinct digitized engine sound to the IONIQ 5 N is what makes the car so special compared to the lifeless EVs we already have in game.

Hyundai is paving the way on how EVs should be made that is both fun, engaging and practical. Without the simulated sound, the car feels like every other EV in game.

The sound simulation is done so well IRL that you can hit the car’s rev limiter and the car responds like any ICE vehicle would! The sound also responds to road bumps and gear shifts too like an ICE vehicle!

Only in DRIFT Mode, the car turns of all safety assistance systems and simulated engine sounds.

Sincere Request to add back the Ignition Sound Mode as the engine noise of the IONIQ 5 N when in standard AWD Mode

Also, where is the N badge and the Manual Simulation Gears?

A very likely reason they can’t implement a simulated engine&gearbox mode is because of game engine limitations. It wouldn’t be able to handle two separate amounts of gears and engine characteristics within one stock setting.
What would mostly solve this problem would be making a new Mode Conversion, that makes appropriate changes within stock parts.

That last part was exactly what I was thinking, add a option to “Convert” it into it’s simulated engine mode. That might work.

It’s not that hard to do. They just need to replace the engine sound audio and add gears to the stock mode.

It arrived to GT7, and Polyphony managed to get its Active sound. But not the simulated shifting, sadly.
