How to join a top racing club

So, food for thought, who are the best racing clubs in Forza and how do you join these elite teams? is it just a simple sign up which seems to be most teams policies or do you have to some how prove yourself?

Find out which are the fastest teams and ask them? They will each have their own ideas on accepting new members.

A word of advice though - get to know the team members before committing to the team.

I’ve seen a few teams around, obviously you don’t see many in the multiplayer lobbies as they just race in private, I was just wondering how you ever got to speak to these guys and how you would be considered to join up, I’d rather not just jump the gun, I joined sfx not long ago just so I could race with people, I think I’ve had a couple of races with one member and never see anyone online, ha so yeah I would need to get to know them a bit before committing

it’s not worth it to join a team on fm5. wait for project cars.

how do you find a top team as each league will have their top racers. Only thing I can suggest is visit teams websites, find the user names and check their names on the leaderboards, if you find their times impressive (use forzastats.com for example as that would be quicker) then send them a message asking to join.

Some teams recruit in the Racer’s Lounge. You might give that a look if you are itching to join a team.

As for the elite teams, they’ll generally ping you if they are interested. There is no hard and fast rule for this but once you start posting top 100 times on a regular basis, you might get some interest.

Usually you have to prove yourself unless the team really likes your attitude and overall friendliness. I would say just race online and make buddies with several people, but that seems harder in FM5. Else you can do what Chronic did in FM4 and set the boards on fire with killer times or you could simply ask the team leader.

Overall though I agree with schiwo

Ive not looked into this project cars much yet, I’m guessing theres probably not too much on it yet. I’ve got about 6-7 top 100 times atm but with all these car packs that come out they seems to be a new LB car in there somewhere, plus I generally only drive C class and my own tunes, I don’t even know how to tune properly, usually takes me about 5 mins at most then I just race ha, just get board of multiplayer lobbies though, it’s hard to make friends in them, everybody just wants to call you a noob or say you’re cheating etc, or if you win a few races gang up on you and ram you off the track, would be nice to race with some competitive people once in a while. I think Chronic is probably a bit out of my league, I reckon I would struggle to touch the top 10 without actually knowing how to tune properly and lapping in rivals a lot.

Maybe you can start your own team.

Another method that wasnt really mentioned is to join a racing league as a freelance/ independent and then u have scheduled times to race with them. Most are fast and friendly in the better known racing leagues… make friends with some of the other racers and see where it goes from there.

start your own team on fm5? hmm… this is the problem, yes you can start one and make your own team forum… and you can check your team on forzastats. problem is that you can’t make your own team on forza 5 with team garage and so on… and you can’t check your team overall ranking, etc… no challenge in my opinion, shame… :frowning:

Join up with a league like Virtual Motorsports and race in some events as a privateer. Many teams compete there and you can get to know some of the members through competition.

I’m actually a recruiter for a racing club. I wouldn’t say we’re the fastest. We have a lot of different drivers at different levels. How I find other members is mostly through hopper racing. What I look for is what Claret was getting at. I want guys that are fun and clean over fast and rough. When you join a club you’ll realize that at least 40% of the racing you do is in private lobbies with the same group. You want guys that know how to get along. If you want to run with some guys to see how it is send me a PM.

Best way for me is in hoppers personally. See a club name race that person very hard and clean. Push yourself to either stay in front or as close as u can. The reason being if it’s a club even worth thinking about the other driver will be able to race u hard and clean as well. This isn’t 100% all the time but it’s a good indication of the clubs ability. We don’t really recruit but i have made some great friends that way that will assist me in building and tuning cars if I need it. Those are the friendships u want even if there is no tag to go with it because u are always learning and pushing yourself to be better than them and at the same time be able to give back to them things u have learned a long the way.

Long story short don’t worry about the tag in front of your name worry about the friendships u can make and the tag will come someday.

+1 agreed… Im not on an official team but have a circle of friends that probably stronger most of these team. You just have to “network” with people.

Usually by demonstrating skills impressive enough to get their attention.
