If people didn’t post on the web about how to do them, I’d never figure it out from the clues.
Yeah some people are quite knowledgeable and smart. Other people can pick up on the most minor details. As for me I just go vroommmm vroommmm.
That’s exactly how I “solved” it this week lol !
EDIT : For clarity the long story is I was doing the Weekly Challenge Chapter 2 so, vroommm vroommm ! and the Treasure Hunt popped up completed totally unexpectedly… and threw a monkey wrench into the Weekly requiring a restart
I must say I do appreciate those YouTubers that post 2 min walk throughs. Those people are legends. But I despise some YouTubers that make equivalent 20 minute long vids and spend half the time saying how grateful they are of their community and to please like comment and subscribe.
I use:
- Visual clues in the Festival Playlist image. This weeks had an electric Mustang so I used it.
- Logical reading of the text. For this week, “EV” says electrical vehicle which confirms using the Mustang or some other EV. “15 seconds” indicates a time so it could be a speed zone, trailblazer, or do something else in/for that time. 100 just screamed the speed in MPH so that eliminated both speed zone and trailblazer. So the logical conclusion was you were supposed to drive 100mph for 15 seconds in Guanajuato.
- If 1 & 2 don’t work, I go the Internet. Maybe I read it right and it’s bugged or maybe I just missed something.
Makes you wonder how many smart cookies out there can’t solve it on their own when it’s bugged.
Or when the language translation screws up the meaning of words… like bicycle instead of motorcycle… etc.
“Btw, thank you so much for 100 subs, it means a lot to me! Now, let’s get into todays FH5 tutorial, but before I get started, be sure to check out todays sponsor: RAID SHADOW LEGENDS”
No. Noon noooo noooooooo! You’re like a virus talking like that. Which is why I use NordVPN…
Sounds like you need today’s sponsor, Current. Current is the future of banking…
PGG devs reading this thread be like hmmmmm…
I looked at the picture, got the electric Mustang (AA batteries not supplied) and drove up and down the streets of Guanajuato until magically, I completed the task. Do I know what the task was exactly? No, not the faintest beyond the anonyyymous method of vroom vroom.
I accidentally did it, but I wasn’t going to do it otherwise. In fact I did nearly all of this weeks playlist by mistake.
I read the hint and decided that what I needed to do was look for and crash EV charging stations in Guanajuato. Drove all over the town and never found a single one.
And then yeah, I accidentally completed the treasure hunt myself while I was working on a different challenge, just going fast in the town. Took me completely by surprise.
Usually, I can figure them out, or at least get close. This week’s clue seemed particularly poorly designed. I did not see the connection between 100 and miles per hour, because miles wasn’t mentioned as a unit in the clue, and miles per hour is not universally used as a measure of speed. So, I was thinking, surely they don’t want me to destroy 100 utility poles in 15 seconds or something, do they?
