I live in Belgium and I absolutely dislike translated games, I always prefer to play games in English.
Now Forza 6 seems to be the very first game I play (PC, PS3, XBox One, iPad) where Dutch is just forced upon me as a language… My mothertongue is Dutch but I’m even having difficulty understanding some of the in-game descriptions for car tuning because I’m so used to the English techobabbel of tuning and tweaking a car.
Is there any way I can set the language to English? (without changing my overall XBox location to the UK because then the store is all in British pounds as well instead of in EUR).
I can’t find anything for language, looks like it takes your system language setting. You could always change your console to UK for playing, and then go back to Dutch afterwards? Not great i know, but at least it’s an option.
I feel your pain, I also live in Belgium. You could change the location to Ireland (instead of UK) as they use EUR as a currency.
However, then you still face problems with buying digital items (Games, DLC) because the location of your linked payment method differs from the location of your XBox.
So the only thing close to a solution is to go back and forth between changing your XBox location as you go from playing a game to buying something from the store, which is very tedious to say the least.
Turn 10 could learn something from EA (yes, you read that right, lol) about language selection. When you start FIFA you can choose which language you want to apply, independently from the location/language of your XBox.
Just like the OP, I’m also wondering if there is any other solution/workaround for this issue?
