was convoying with a friend last night and after a race I was booted out of horizon life and it was entirely stubborn and insistent on locking down any chance of me reconnecting with my friend.
First it removed me from the horizon life session. When i tried to reconnect it would tell me “Your horizon convoy leader could not give you permission to join the game session.” After a short time it would then say “Your convoy is currently in an online session” then under that in yellow it said “go to the convoy screen and choose convoy session”. Yet if i went into the convoy screen it showed me and my friend in a convoy. I was unable to exit the convoy cause the game didnt give me the option, and i was unable to join horizon life to attempt to restore the connection because the game instantly tried to rejoin the convoy instead, which would fail with these errors.
i was stuck in a failure loop and as it turned out, after nearly 30 minutes my friend and i were entirely unable to overcome the failure cascade and we had to just quit playing.
