I mean… the gamemode is based in our childhood (except mine, which it has the Daruma Doll game)… And the partnership is just a Sneaker collab?
I won’t be complaining, but i’m pretty dissapointed… I was expecting bigger things coming to the game, but it is what it is…

I’d even take them moving it back to hourly like in FH4.

I agree. I’ve been playing Horizon 4 lately and really enjoyed the hourly forzathons with other people.

I would have preferred football (soccer) as the new game mode. I’d have definitely played that.

Forza Horizon 5 adding new Xbox achievements with Hide and Seek mode (trueachievements.com)
Will arrive in a future update in October apparently, so if like me you go for the achievements in games you play you’re going to have to get stuck into this.
May as well start on it as soon as it arrives, despite the requirements not being known I can’t imagine they’ll be too complex.
Having read that article I am a little baffled, unless it’s randomised what people get why would any hider opt to use the 368PI X-Class over the 559 '17 Raptor or 530 Colorado?
Why would seekers choose a 649PI Evo 10 or 560PI Bronco over three S1 cars or if they want AWD the Audi RS6 at 754PI? Evo’s are already slow enough when tuned in this game let alone stock and that Bronco probably gets outran by the '17 Raptor in a straight line.

Haven’t been on here in a while but had to visit this thread. Agree with many views, especially the “not a tween/teen/20-something age group “ and wanting more actual races. (New &/or Reverse dirt routes please!)
What I’m wondering most about this new Hide & Seek game mode is the 5v1 aspect. When entering a game, will the matchmaking randomize who’s a seeker and who’s the hider? Because if so, and if a player cannot choose to be one or the other, then I foresee A LOT of games needed to be entered to get the forthcoming accolades and achievements- because there’s bound to be a multiple requirement for both (accolades especially) such as “Win 5 games as a hider”.
It’s gonna be a drag.

wondering about this too. so you just get stuck as either a hider or seeker, in a random car?
Eliminator is always busy when it features in the weekly playlist, which is the only time I play it. This could be the case for all online modes, though I have no evidence as I only do the playlist and the odd achievable accolade nowadays, but I’m running out of those.
Arcade I usually do Drift as it’s always an option, but 9 times out of 10 I’m solo, or the other player doesn’t contribute for whatever reason.

Nick has been putting together these hide and seek events since FH4…they are in my opinion as bad as you would imagine. Not a fan…would of rather had ranked online, some type of dirt drag events, or even soccer which was fun in the earlier forza games. I mean they have a literal huge soccer field already. This though…meh. Don’t mind the car…I own the luka 3’s in shoes…so the car is kind of okay for me. I am a big fan.

after some reflection, this new game mode is so insubstantial that it could have been added to Playground Games as a 4th event and literally everyone would have been fine with it. no hype, more time and effort toward actual game improvements… this is a rookie mistake as we approach year 3

Honestly, it depresses me we’re even going into Year 3 with this game to begin with. This is by far Horizon’s weakest map yet, and the idea it may be the one we spend the most time on thus far does not thrill me at all.

I really don’t see the point of accolades anymore considering all the cheaters on the leaderboards. It used to be yeah cool, I’ll see how high I can get, now it’s why bother…
