I enjoy the mild bumps and elevation changes at Prague but what happened to those tall curbs from the FM4 Sebring version? Also, in Fm5’s version, the final right hander has a big bump… where is it? The straight is also generally uneven… but in Fm5 it feels flat and smooth. I was expecting The Ring to be a lot bumpier in Fm5, unsettling the car like it does IRL.
Here’s hoping all the bumps, camber changes and elevations gets properly translated in FM6.
Either that, or the suspension physics need to be tuned further along with removing that wierd cap on controller steering.
Interesting. I’ve driven the Ring and find that Forza 6 is the closest game representation I’ve ever seen. I drove it on a wet-lap too, so I’m anxious to try it in FM6.
Also, worth mentioning, different type of flattening, but FM5’s ring has the best sense of elevation change I’ve ever seen. There is a LOT of elevation change in both Road Atlanta and the Nordschleife, and FM5 captures both perfectly.
It looks fun solo but online very tight It should be fun but I predict this will happen with if Lime Rock is the same as the nurburgring Damn that sticky magnetic grass!
Yes, I’m glad North America finally caught up to Europe, but I don’t get why Africa and Antarctica are so underrepresented. Europe: 9, North America: 9, South America: 1, Australia: 1, Asia: 1
(I don’t know where the Test Airfield is located)
Honestly, I care more about diversity in track type than I do by location. The fact that Europe and the US dominate the list is fairly irrelevant to me as long as we have different track types which we do.
There aren’t many well-known race tracks in Africa (Kylami in South Africa is the only track I know in the continent), and I would doubt that an asphalt race track would be humanly possible in Antarctica.
LOL, an Antarctica track would be boss, finally a proper place to race the H1 Alpha and Ford Raptor. I’d think Subarus (and other rally cars) would also shine here.
Just watch out for crevasses. Oh, and Greenpeace will have your head if you hit the tirewall. It’s made of penguins, you see. We weren’t allowed to import piles of used tires.
As far as Africa goes, there may not be much tarmac, but just IMAGINE the rally stages you could set up in places like Botswana, Uganda or Kenya. A made-up city course (like FM5’s Prague track) set in Cairo, Nairobi or Johannesburg could also go.
[Edit to clarify]
Dunsfold Aerodrome (aka TopGear test track) is in the UK. The Airfied where It, Tag, etc., are played is allegedly in the Mojave, US.
If it is, does that mean Europe is ahead of NA? If T10 said it’s a Japanese airfield, would that satisfy people asking for Japanese tracks? I get wanting tracks that you may have driven on, but beyond that I’m not sure why it matters?
