It just needs a good tune. I know this is blasphemy but have you tried an awd swap on it?

It does need a really good tune and no it’s not blasphemy to add AWD to it to make that happen. It was blasphemy taking such a good car and ruining it to begin with. If it takes AWD to fix so be it.

What? I am unsure if you’re talking about the conversion from a real life VenomGT to the model/handling in FH2. There is almost no argument to sustain any claim in real life that someone ruined the VenomGT in real life; ofcourse it’s a whole different beast if you cut up an Exige, quadruple its power and then expect it to go straight under full throttle.

That is what I meant. Taking the Lotus Exige and making turning it into the Hennessey VenomGT is ruining a perfectly good Lotus.

I’m reasonably sure the Venom GT uses a newly-made-for-Hennessey chassis, rather than cutting up an existing Exige. There are parts in common, certainly, but no Lotuses are harmed during the making of a Venom.

This is incorrect. The Venom Gt uses several components of the Lotus Exige including a highly modified chassis. The engines are built in America and shipped to England where they take a Lotus Exige, make the needed modifications and cram the motor in. Once the car returns to the US it is sold as a salvage or modified title Lotus Exige.

I stand corrected. I looked it up myself… What a shame to have wasted the modified disclaimer… LOL

I turn traction control in my real car '12 SRT8 Challenger and loses its rearend easy and thats my trouble in the Hennessy so much torque

Do VenomGT’s in real life need a tune to drive them?

Well are we talking about just driving them or racing like we do in Forza games?

The answer to your question is probably yes anyway.

In Forza games every car gets a default tune. Some settings are identical on every car, some differ based on weight and a few settings differ due to some other reasons.

I suspect that no car leaves a factory in real life with the tune that Forza gives the car in the games.

I also suspect that when cars are tested they are tested with some form of tuning that helps them achieve what they are being tested for.

Having said that what does the Venom get tested for in real life. Drags? Circuit Racing? Cross Country.

When someone drive a Venom in real life have they whacked a bigger turbo on it? Other engine parts over and above the factory package? Do they then take it to a racetrack and try to replicate what we do in Forza games or are they naturally taking it a little easier?

We are not just talking can the car be driven in game without traction control and without a tune. Of course it can. But can it be driven quickly in that state. By some players yes it can. By most, I doubt it. Therefore for most players to make the car enjoyable in game they need to take certain steps - tune, assists etc.

Forza had my challenger pretty acurate i was happy to see how realistic it was iam not sure if thats true for every car

You can have an awd venom on the one? Oh man, I need to get mine quick.

Both are not so good

Its about the same for me

I strongly disagree. The Birdcage is a beast. Its a leaderboard car in my mind.

The Venom GT is fine as it is and certainly doesn’t need to be AWD swapped, unless the Veyron is your favorite car and you desperately need another understeering brick to accompany it in your stable.

Just take it easy in 1st and 2nd gear (feather the throttle), after that it honestly feels tame compared to the same car in the first Horizon. This is without assists, but you may want to consider turning TCS on if you’re really bad at throttle control. If you want to experience an uncontrollable car in FH2, take the Jaguar XK120 on stock tires and shoehorn the 6.0 V12 into it in B class. Good for about 1180 hp. After driving that without assists you’ll find that the Venom is child’s play.
