Help! Cars in garage turned black, Can't buy online.. Saving content..

Hello there,

I recently bought Forza 4, i really like the game and what not. Now this started to happen…
I took my 360 to a friend, booted it, started forza… It took like a minute after clicking A to get into the menu’s already… so I started worrying.

Next thing that happens, I go into my garage and ALL cars are black boxes… If I load up a car the model works just fine, i can race with it etc… but here’s the case, I can’t modify them, because if I do so… It says “Failed to save…”. Also when going into the auction house, I clicked “Receive Credits” from a lost bid, something like this popped up (My game language is dutch): “Can’t verify your gamerprofile right now… please try again later”. I tried signing in on my little bro’s account and that worked, everything worked FINE. When I go to buy cars, MOST of the cars DO actually show up, and some are black boxes still… (garage always remains FULLY black) and even the packs you can buy, 50% won’t show anymore… but on my bro’s account it’s all fine…

Now I thought about a corrupted save game, but everything is working besides saving, and i can’t acces most online functions. I have no clue why.

The only things I can think off:

  • I played forza 2 today
  • I am at a friends house (shouldnt matter?)
  • I gifted my little bro a car (i designed, not even high end or so, but he’s on the same console soo…)

That’s everything… I cleared XBOX Cache, removed some stuff for free space, checked if any files are corrupted… everything… It just won’t work anymore.

Please help me out.

Back home now, still the same problem… Game also keeps popping up “Saving Content…” Like every 5-10 seconds. Im getting worried :frowning:

So I found out it’s cuz of one of my modified Fairlady 2003’s. Whenever I sell it the game wont save anymore so im stuck there… i guess i got to start all over again? Can’t gift good cars to anyone too cuz i need to get past the fairlady for it… if i do so everything messes up so…

Anybody know a trick to save it to another device or something after selling the car? And otherwise, is anyone able to help me get a little headstart if i start all over again? Thanks.

Do the Cache Maintenance as described in this Xbox Support article: Xbox Support

Restart the console afterward, then try. If that doesn’t clear the problem, you will most likely need to delete the offending item, restart the game and try again. Black boxes or poor depictions is a sign of pending corruption.

For clearing my system’s cache, I lost all my game saves.
