Am i the only one who noticed ghat theirs no Hellcat supercharger whine? Thats a staple of that vehicle and i feel it should be int he game. Maybe its an error or something, but if it isn’t, it should be there. The V10 engine conversion, with the supercharger, you hear that, and that sound should be stock. Just curious if anyone else noticed this.
There’s little to no supercharger whine from any car. Even a fully upgraded '05 Ford GT has no whine. However, when my friends are in a supercharged car, it’s the only noise… no exhaust, just supercharger. Hopefully they fix it all.
I feel like the hellcat is a disappoint in Horizon 3, the headlight on the driver side close to middle on the real hellcat challenger is an air intake. On the model however it is just a headlight nothing major but overlooked.
Yeah the whine is a signature of that car, my brother-in-law owns a '15 Charger Hellcat and when its coming toward’s you the only thing you hear and when it passes the exhaust is the only thing you hear. Seriously they need to fix it. It doesn’t sound like the real thing at all.
This is literally my biggest problem with the game… Ever since they have added the Charger Hellcat to Forza 6, I’ve been patiently waiting for Horizon 3 to come out so I can finally cruise in the whine machine…
So after I finally got my hands on this game, I purchased the Hellcat as my second car… “Disappointment” is a understatement… The whine was the single best thing about the car and now it’s gone… Thanks Playground games
I remember when forza 4 was coming out they showed a video of them recording exhaust notes. When I got Horizon 3 my second car was the Jaguar F Type because that is one of the best sounding good cars in real life IMO. It hardly burbles/cracks, the real car does it on every downshift, every let off of the throttle at like 30% pedal travel.
Cars that are known for their sound should at least sound right in the game…
Did you change the exhaust, tuning or engine before trying it for the exhaust? I’m sure that burble on the Jag is caused by an electronic exhaust system. My brother’s Camaro SS has the option quad exhaust and it has electronic butterfly valves that close/open(?) when you let off the throttle and it causes the burble. Excellent sound, just like the Jags.
No. What Chevrolet does is completely different. What Jaguar does is tune the car to let a bit of extra fuel into the exhaust any time you let off the gas or downshift. When the fuel burns in the exhaust, that’s what causes the popping/burbling sound.
What Chevy does is different. They use electric cutouts that can be opened or closed for quiet exhaust or loud exhaust depending on your tastes. They started this with the Corvette and it has trickled down to the Camaro. They sell kits so you can do this with just about any muscle car. What Jaguar does is program the noise into the tune. This isn’t something you can change in FH3. If you visit the Corvette forums sometime, you’ll notice that many of them are jealous of how the Jag and the Mustang sound, as their exhaust systems just don’t have the same notes and they can’t obtain it with aftermarket exhaust systems.
When my Mustang’s exhaust is all warmed up I’ll occasionally get that pop and burble. But NOTHING like any of the new Jaguars. It’s a waste of fuel, but IMO, it’s worth it just for the sound it produces. Makes every Jaguar sound pissed off and mean as hell. lol.
I think you’d have to go back to a C5 Corvette to obtain that sound. The C7 just isn’t capable of it.
The Ford GT350R will give you more burble and pop, but for different reasons. It’s a Flat Plane Crank 5.2 Liter V8 and they opened up the exhaust to flow better. So you’ll hear it more there, but the standard 5.0 is very capable of it depending on the aftermarket exhaust system you install.
As to the Hellcat. It’s just a simple lack of attention to detail. FH3 is rife with sound and graphical problems that they figure their “main” audience doesn’t care about.
The jaguar does it exactly the same way that the camaro does. They might dump more fuel into it as well but they definitely use active cut-outs just like the Camaro does…
It was foolish of me to think that they’d get it sorted out when its still broken in fm6. Honestly I think they’re trolling us. They know what the problem is and how to fix it…they’re just choosing not to fix it
