I was wondering if anyone is working on a new Monster Energy Claw Marks logo? I’m working on a NASCAR skin, but I can’t get my own Monster Logo made correctly…

Welp. Microsoft has gotten rid of the ability to stream the new consoles to the Xbox companion app. I’ve come to depend on this method for dramatically decreased time spent on logo creation 
If anyone comes up with a new way to do something like this, please do let me know. I may try doing it thru twitch, but I don’t know if glass2k works on browser tabs and I don’t know how immediate a stream is with twitch. You can’t really have a delay for doing this.
Edit: I’ve discovered a way to stream thru a developmental console companion app. It has allowed me to use the glass 2k method again and it actually performs far better than the old companion app streaming. Thank you so much for this guide PJTierney! I have been playing Forza since before (I think!) 2008 and have always been heavily into the graphics/decal packs side of things. In Forza 4 I spent more time (sometimes 12 hours in one sitting!) creating vinyl groups and car design packs. I’ve always had to create replicas freehand just looking at photos and copying what I see into Forza. Have never seen this app or this way to do it! Sooooo much easier. Practiced with your tic tac logo and got it done but took about 2 hours lol. Very happy with the result! Going to be very busy recreating all the stuff I had done in Forza4 and putting it into Forza7. Been on F6 for a while now as was reluctant to buy it due to the CPL’s still being absent, but have finally bought it and installed it tonight.

Another way to do this, if you have a capture device, is to pipe your gameplay feed into OBS, set your logo reference as a transparent layer on top, and work away.

Does this still work? Been booting up my one x just to paint while doing everything else on my series x. It can be a bit annoying at times.
Yes it works amazing for me. I still have the developer streaming app installed (the one I referenced in my previous comment) and it works absolutely wonderful with my series X. I’ve knocked out so many logos and several designs since I wrote that comment. I’m not sure how relevant those install instructions still are but hopefully they still work!

Awwww the appxbundle itself has been removed. Thats alright though will just have to stick to my old methods.
Have you tried streaming through the new Xbox app?
oh didnt realize it had an update. Though I bet it still needs gamepass though right?

Ohhhhh interesting thanks for sharing. Going to definitely have to give a shot. Last time i checked. Console companion was the only way to stream consoles without gamepass. Then the series released. Streaming through series consoles was only through the xbox app and required gamepass as it registered it as their cloud gaming services.
No, as far as i can tell, you can stream through the Xbox App no problem

Imo it s just a shame promoting 3rd party tools, softwares, to paint on Forza.

That could be hard, boring and even take time but i prefer do my stuff by myself than cheated with sort like this.

You know, we wouldn’t have to resort to this if we could just import Scaleable Vector Graphics (short: SVGs) into the game directly
And it’s not an issue of laziness, it’s an issue of it being menial busywork that could easily be cut out by allowing SVG importing (like Gran Turismo Sport and 7)

This is not painting for you, if you assumed we were meaning a certain tool I wont name… (that is a different application in which I DO NOT support)… all this does is make the tabs transparent. Calling it a 3rd party tool is a long shot. As anything 3rd party breaks Forza’s tos typically. This has been used for quite some time by many many talented and dedicated painters many of which have been featured by T10 and PGGs.

I used to draw my vinyls and such out by hand before making them in Forza to visually get a grasp of the shapes and such. Then I was recommended this link with glass2k quite some time ago. Which cuts that step out completely (since you can trace the image instead). Which is nice as depending on the complexity saves 2-3 hours in this alone. Regardless your still doing it yourself and not having a software paint it for you. The painting tool (not glass2k) that paints for you is a gray area in TOS and not something I support. Met alot of legacy painters out there and many extremely talented people. I do not want an overhaul inserting images. These people have been painting since FM2 and the skills they have are absolutely phenomenal. Would hate for a tool that inserts images to hide these peoples talents. Let alone the amount of extra work for staff to moderate/remove illegal liveries. That were easily imported with that software (which again I DO NOT support)

I don’t get the elitism about having the ability to insert SVG images into Forza, Polyphony Digital implemented it, and it didn’t negatively affect them, why shouldn’t Turn 10/Playground Games implement it? It shouldn’t be a talent to cut down on menial busywork caused by the archaic system that’s in place right now.

Guide is still relevant for Forza Motorsport 
It’s easier if you play on PC, but streaming from console to PC is still possible via the Xbox app on Windows.
