Groove Music station - stream your personal playlist

Yeah it’s really bizarre. I’ve now been able to listen to two full albums without any problems, but these were all Groove Music’s own songs. They really have quite a few issues to fix for it though. I just hope it will actually happen because that Ultimate Edition has been out for a week now.

I’ve got all the 8 standard radio stations signed but how do I get groove radio signed so I can play my own music? I’ve done all the showcases

Hi guys, I have watched youtube videos on the subject and done everything as necessary - I have One Drive installed on my PC, with all my songs on it, I have Groove music, with a playlist created, and I have beaten the train race. So why do I still not have the option to choose a groove music playlist in my audio options? Please help me out here.

So there was a new update for the game…yet nothing about this BS has been fixed. It’s quite sad really.

Groove Radio still not fixed on Xbox One, come on Turn 10, the PC version of the station works fine but not the one on Xbox, what gives?

I don’t know if everyone knows about this or no one so I’ll post this guide. If you’re like me and are getting tired of the same songs on the same radio stations and would love to hear your own music while driving then this guide is for you.

Not all of this is confirmed to work 100% and could differ from console to console. I will say it’s worth a try though!

I will warn you that:
- There are some skipping issues at times but it’s random

  • It’s not constant but it can happen and will sometimes happen for a short period of time over and over again
  • Try not to change radio stations as this seems to increase the skipping chance (changing radio stations changes the current song playing)
    - The volume fades
  • Certain things like crashing or other random sound effects lowers the volume (about 25~50%)
  • For some reason when you drive slow or stop the volume is lower but as you speed up the volume increases to a certain point. Almost like it’s giving you an incentive to drive faster

Things you’ll need:

  • Windows 10 (Only certain for PC users… Not sure for Xbox One users?)
  • Groove Music (On your Xbox for Xbox One users or on your PC for PC users)

I have only tried this on Xbox One but I’m sure it’s very similar for PC users

Step 1:

  • Know your email and password to your Xbox Live account. This may seem like an unnecessary step but I know plenty of people who don’t know there account credentials due to automatic sign in for years

Step 2: OneDrive

  • Go to OneDrive and sign in using your Xbox Live account name and password. It’s much better to use the website and not the app/program on your Windows 10 computer
  • There should be an already made music folder inside OneDrive. You can delete any of the folders and make your own if you wanted to. Create or use the music folder provided and put all of your music in this folder. I’d advise just putting a select few in this folder until you know it works. Wait for it to finish uploading however many songs you put in the folder (songs appear in the folder once they’re done uploading)

Step 3: Groove Music

  • Download (if not done already) and open Groove Music
  • Navigate to the left pane menu and select playlist. Create a new one (I simply named it “Horizon 3”) and once done select “add songs from my collection”. If everything has been done correctly you should see your songs. For some reason it grouped some of my songs into a folder called “unknown album”. So when I first tried this I thought only a few of my songs actually worked.
  • Select each song and hit the “+ Add to” button and then select your newly created playlist
  • Play a song or two in Groove Music just to make it works and that something hasn’t gone wrong. If there’s an exclamation mark near some or all of your songs then you’ve done something wrong and please reply below so I can help

Step 4: Horizon 3

  • First of all make sure you’ve unlocked the Groove Music radio station (duh)
  • Go to Menu>Settings>Audio> and where it says Groove Music (It may take a few second to go from grey to selectable) go left or right on that option and select the playlist you made in step 3
  • That’s it! If everything went right then change your radio station to Groove Music and you should hear your music. It might take a few seconds to minutes to load your playlist. If it takes more than 5~10 minutes then you encountered an error (this differs depending on how many songs you uploaded and your internet speed)

It never appeared wheen you was selecting the radio station. First of all i played demo( to see if i got good fps) and in the demo when you first apply the radio station it was there! In butn in the full game nope. What can i do

I know its a bit old
Sorry for my english too( romanian user)

Might just be that Groove isnt available in your region

Im pretty sure the reason it works is because they give you a 15 day trial for free.

I denied the 15 day trial on both the Groove Music App and on Forza

They don’t make it clear that with some work you can stream YOUR music instead of THERE music by still using Groove Music

Proof that I’m not using the trial:

Why did a mod combine my thread with one that has 10 pages? Now only a select few people will actually see my thread…

I Can’t even get groove to appear. I have the app on the xbox, music in my onedrive, playlist setup in groove on the xbox, but in the game the station isn’t there. I’ve unlocked all the other station but it just has a blank square where groove should be. Any ideas?

how long is the free access to groove music?

Ok so i uploaded all my music to my one drive, then opened Groove and made a playlist and dragged all my music in to that playlist.
But when i go in game and select that play list it just sits on Loading for ever.

Have i dont it right or is something wrong?

I bought Forza Horizon 3 on Windows Store and I played it for 80+ hours and signed all the radio station in game but I didn’t found Groove Music. I uploaded my soundtracks to my OneDrive and sync them in my Groove Music but still can’t find Groove Music option in game. Is this a bug or just because I didn’t set it properly?

Im trying to use my groove without signing up to it by adding music to my one drive.
I have a few albums in my own drive and if you log onto the website you see them all.
But on the one drive app on my pc you have to click on music to see them.
If i log into groove i see all my albums.
I have installed groove and one drive on pc,ipad, phone and xbox but i only see my albums on groove on pc.

Is there a step by step guide on how to set this up right or use with fh3.
I have unlocked groove on fh3 game and i did make playlist on pc but all it says all the time is loading and never changes.

I don’t understand why its not working or if there is issued with my groove or onedrive.

Be good to play my own stuff in game.

Weird thing is when i click on my one drive icon i have no albums on it,but when i go online one drive its all on there but dont show any pics of albums and they do all show on groove with album pics.
Something weird going on.
And its doing my head in.

Groove music is region locked.

If your country is not in this list, then groove won’t even appear ingame. I learnt it myself the hard way too, with uploading many songs only to find out I can’t even use it.
We unlucky few are stuck with music players.

Works in australia or should i say when i know what im doing or whats going wrong.
