Next, and more importantly, these legendary cars and more will be together on the track at the same time.

SERIES CONCEPT
Here’s an idea for a Saturday night series before the weekends main event on Sunday.
Its very simple; lets use the older sport coupes that don’t have a home in any particular series.
They are too old to compete in CTSCC/Grand Am/Trans-Am, and too new to be HTA.
Sport Coupes from the later 80’s (1987) and 90’s (and later, maybe until 2000).
This is a fantasy race series concept that I thought of for many years, which in real life would represent a fairly low budget way to race.
It is fantasy series designed for the racer who has limited financial resources, and wants to race.
If this were a Real Life series, the cars are not hard to find, nor expensive.
Therefore it is “Grass Roots Racing.”
I refer to them as cars from “The 90’s,”
I define Sport Coupes as having 2-doors and 4 seats.
Preliminary Build Concept.

Horsepower requirements: 300-400HP
Weight: 2800- 3600 lbs
Aero: None, factory aero
Build requirements: Race Spec equipment: Brakes, Suspension, Anti Roll Bars, Roll Cage/Chassis, Transmission.
Paint: Anything you like except you must have this Grass Roots (GR/B) logo placed on the each side of the car:

Rubber: Sport tires for most, with any exception noted.
Required 16-17 inch wheels, stock or specific brands equal to stock weight, and/or required PI as named in build.
Tire width sizes will be designated.
This will be a fun series (IMO) and short run over 6-8 tracks, representing Europe, Asia (UAE), and USA.
In view of the busy race season schedule, and the short duration of the races, MOST times,
we will actually try to run the same tracks as the weekly MAIN EVENT is racing at Seasonedgamers.com on each race night.
It is essentially representative of the type of races that are held over a track weekend, before the big Main Event on Sunday.
The races are sprints and will run approx. 20 minutes, with 1 pit stop required.
For variety and spectator interest, only two cars of each model will be allowed.
Racers are allowed to change cars anytime during the series if there is a spot available.
Car choices are determined will be determined by random lottery draw.
Here is how the lottery works:
You can submit your top 3 car choices, (or pick from whats available) and when your name is randomly pulled, you get your 1st choice, unless that car has been selected by two other races.
If the field already has two of those cars entered, then you get your 2nd choice, and so on until the field is rounded out.

Race Procedures
Procedures will apply to all races unless specific instructions are noted for individual circuits.
10 minute warm-up set
Random grid order.
Standing starts.
Unless noted in race instructions, one pit-stop required per race. Pit window will open following completion of lap 1 and close with 1 lap remaining. Pit stops before or after the pit window opens are allowed but do not count as required stops. This will require the racers to use strategy and hopefully keep the field tighter and more competitive.
Lobby Settings
Damage: Simulation

Steering: Normal or Simulation
Assists: ABS, Braking Line, STM, TCS will be allowed (but not required) for those that wish to use them.
Good Sportsmanship is mandatory.

May be more to follow. Preliminary builds specific for each car are done, as we get closer to race date, they will likely continue to be tweaked.
All testing was done at Indy Grand Prix circuit; tested with my limited skills, all builds ran within (+/-) 1 sec. of each other.
